I was taking my little brother to school. he's got a rash on his neck from the seatbelt and a mild concussion. I'm perfectly fine.

I was asking him to write down a bible verse for me and then looked at it, and slammed into the back of someone.

they're perfectly fine and the back of their vehicle was only slightly damaged.

Gotta talk to your agent. You won't get a spankin' brand new car - what happens is that you get reimbursed (if you qualify, as Oneironaut points out) the value of your car.

So, if your car is worh, say - $4000, then they give you that amount towards a new one. But that's 4k you can use as a down payment on a newer car, if you can afford the monthly payments on a new car. Else just get another used car of that same value.

suprisingly, thankfully, I wasn't asked anything by the police. the woman I hit asked what I was doing, if I was "looking down", I just kept saying "I don't know, I don't know what happened." (duh.)

as for the insurance thing, I'm won't get shit, for several reasons I don't feel like explaining because who cares.

Wow, that sucks. My mustang got T-boned and got screwed from my insurance because the other guy was at fault but had great connections that didnt' benifit me at all. It was about a year ago. But I know how you feel. Your car is gone and got nothing out of a horrible situation thats past.

only it was in a childrens bible so the way it was worded was like...the words "sex" and "hate" were in there, I don't know, it just intrigued me. I was having my brother write it down and then I looked at it when he was done. we're contemplating whether or not homosexuality is a sin. I don't believe it is...(Living in Sin by John Shelby Spong is a good book on the subject).

I'm a gay transsexual so it's very relevant.
