I would love to work in one of those labs, hooking people up to those machines , studying dreams and sleep disorders. how the hell does one go about getting a job like that? do you have to be a doctor?

Monster.com outlines a "Sleep Lab Technican" job as requiring:
a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year previous medical/patient care experience. Sleep Lab experienced preferred. BCLS required. Must have manual dexterity for patient handling, equipment handling and emergency procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and hospital personnel. Must be able to lift 25 pounds[/b]

Equipment, I would assume. Who can't lift 25 pounds anyway? I'm 15 and I can lift about 140...

well ive worked at a hospital filing for about 2 years does that count? :P
and i lift a 25pnd weight at the gym, although with great difficulty :P
