What Sing-A-Long Song Should the Mets Play
During the Eighth Inning in the Final Season At Shea?
Fans, select your favorite from the songs listed below.
Your votes will help determine what Sing-A-Long gets played during
the 8th Inning during the final historic year at Shea.
Mets Sing along song Voting Form (http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/nym/fan_forum/singalong_vote_form.jsp)
I'm not sure if they are still taking votes since its pretty close, but apparently theres a bit of an internet movement to RickRoll the mets by putting Never gonna give you up under the 'other' option of the voting page. Feel free to join in for the Lulz. Just fill in Rick Astley - Never gonna give you up under other and fill out the rest of the form.

Hehe great idea. I know little enough about the Mets to not know what sport they play, but I've heard of them and that's enough ;) thanks for the link

We'll need so many more people to do this. I suggest that Anonymous hacks them and changes the results. :chuckle:

Well I found it on another forum and it was posted by someone who found it on yet another forum, so its hard to tell exactly how many people are involved.

Post it in /b/ and it could get trillions of votes.
I don't go on the chans, though, so I won't do it.

I'm not familiar with the 'chans' and have only heard vague references about their infamy through other forums.
edit: after quick research, I'd guess its highly possible someone else already has posted this in /b/

it probably started from /b/
And if you ever think anyone who frequents 4chan is smart enough to hack the mets, you're sorely misguided.

Anonymous? I don't doubt at all that they could hack the mets. Maybe not a random 4chan visitor, but I'm confident that Anonymous could.

I don't think the collective of 4chan visitors is going to be any closer to being able to hack the mets.
I don't think anonymous is at all interested in this.
Lots of sites had rickrolls on their sites for Aprils fools, making it painfully obvious how old and tired this meme is. Nobody even knows about duckrolling anymore nowadays.

Agreed. Rickrolling, while a kind-of-funny prank to play on someone every... let's say... FIVE YEARS... is fucking OLD.
I never even knew what a rick roll was until last Tuesday. Guess I'm just behind.

Ahh, the classic duckroll.

Oh yeah, to go to the real website, just copy paste the link instead of clicking on it. ;)

The greatest thing about the rick roll phenomena is that all the advertisers and corporate heads and even Astley's record company are latching on to the idea as publicity but as soon as they do, the popularity of it will bomb and all the money they invested into the idea will be wasted. I think I'm in love with the fact that lines have been drawn between the internet and the rest of the world, and the internet is winning. The internet is evolution, it is the next stage in intelligence that everyone has been waiting for and most people won't realize until its too late.

It was a success actually. I think Anon was actually behind it. Lol at CT for doubt.
