You shouldn't. Credit cards are stupid. Debit cards work just as well, and don't screw you over with intrest.

Do you actually say Kwedit Kwawrd every time? because that would be annoying. *suttsman notices that I forgot my wallet today, and wonders what he stole.*

I usually just stare at people until they remember to say, "Hey, you're Superman, you don't need to pay for that!"

I mean, c'mon, where am I supposed to put a wallet in this outfit anyway? :superman:

People use credit cards instead of debit cards because sometimes people need to spend more money than they have!!!1!!1!111!!!

My credit card number is actually in letters.

Yea, but they shouldn't. If they absolutely need to spend that much money, they can usually wait.

Depends, do you want food on the table tonight, or later :P?

panta-rei

Well, seriously. You don't need to spend 5 bucks on a credit card. If you are that low on money for food, you don't want to make it worse with interest.

Hahaha, why don't you answer this question once you're an independent adult, and we'll see if your mind changes. :P

It's really not that easy.

EDIT: ALSO, using your credit card correctly raises your credit score. I'll give you a cookie if you can tell me why a good credit score is useful.

For buying things you cant afford. Acctually the best credit score is no credit score. You have to be in debt at some time to have a credit score.

Here's how us normal folk do it. We treat our credit card like a debit card - i.e, we don't spend more than we know we have. This way we can pay our bills fully each month.

Then later, when we want to buy a HOUSE, or a CAR, or send our children to a good UNIVERSITY, we will be so happy to have a good credit score. Otherwise, we would get a letter saying "f-off" from the banks.

That is true. But a lot (Not nessesarily you.) of people don't use a credit card like a debit card. And then later get screwed hardcore.

I'm not saying credit cards are bad, in fact, the idea was genius, its just bad for some people.

Credit cards are actually BETTER than Debit Cards, in a way.

Let me explain. In a Debit Card, the money goes out straight away (or there abouts). In a Credit Card, the money (assuming you pay it all off) goes out at the end of the month.

So... say you spend £100 on the 2nd April. You have this money in a high interest account with a debit card, and this money gets paid out on the 2nd April. Now, if you paid instead with your credit card and you have a high interest account and you set up a direct debit with your credit card company paying off all your debts every month, say 30th April in this case, you have had that £100 in for 28 more days than with a debit card. And in those 28 days that money would have earnt interest. Congratulations, you've just earnt money using a credit card!

And yes, I do realise this is the most serious post ever to grace SB. Eh.

Its really not all that confusing. Just make sure you know what your doing before you do it.
