So, I don't really think this should go in General Dreaming, because I just kind of want to discuss the topic a little bit, and it could get very off-topic, so I figured Lounge is the best place.

Anyways last night I had a dream (zomg dreaming in loungewtf?!) where I was on DV Chat. Out of nowhere. I don't recall how I got there, or whatever, but I was typing in Dv Chat. Anyways, I remember DuB (yes, it was DuB) saying "LOL this is a dreeeam!".

Of course, anytime you're in chat and someone says that, you do a reality check for the hell of it, even out of spite perhaps. So I did one. The clock changed from like 7:00 to 7:05 and 7:03 and around there. But I was like, "no, this is DV Chat.. lol whutever".

And I didn't become lucid. Well, thanks for the help DuB, but at least you tried.. even if you.. didn't... lol.

Anyways, has anyone ever had a dv member (name or person) in their dream before?

LOL. I didn't know thats what it meant. In all honesty, I rarely go to DV Favs, and I've seen that, but I never thought that "DV MEMBER DREAMS" meant.. dreams with DV Members in them.

I thought it was.. oh.. nevermind. Fine, lock the topic then. Have at it mods.

Oh, and don't sigh at me with that "You've been here nearly a year" bullshit. Yes, I've seen the thread before, just because I've been here a year doesn't mean I read every damn forum.

Actually, wait. This might be a good place to discuss DV member dreams in a different format. In that thread we usually just post our appropriate DV member dreams, and maybe discuss them a little. But I could see taking the discussion a little further.

For instance, I have at least one dream with at least one DV member in it nearly every night. I don't post them all, because I often forget who it was, and/or the circumstances, by the time I get online at night. I really should keep a dream journal... I'm going to go start a new one in a minute. Anyway, it seems I spend too much time on DV, as I dream about you every night. You'd think I'd have lucids every night because of it. I'm going to have to start RCing every time I go in chat, or see certain names around here...

If you say so MoS... discuss away!

I'm surprised I saw this thread as I normally don't venture into the off-topic sections of the forum. All I can say is that, damnit, when I tell you something, you better listen!! :bslap:

Something that I will never, ever understand.

Well when you've been here for 5 years, the on-topic section begins to stagnate a little as questions and topics inevitably repeat themselves and there really isn't anything new to talk about. Not to mention I haven't lucid dreamed for a while and I don't have much time to either.

So you don't sleep? At all?

Generally during the week I get about 2-5 hours max of sleep. But more so than that I was referring to not having time to practice. That is, focus on it, dream journal, being woken by an alarm (kills recall, etc.). Too stressed to think about RCing, etc.

Just like me. I don't want to say that "I gave up" but, well i sort of did. I don't have time to practice, don't want to put too much effort in it, and I have better more productive things to do,even if they really don't matter that much.

Ah, I can understand that I suppose. Being too stressed to fool with it, at least. It's been much the same for me recently. And yeah, alarms murder recall ruthlessly. I always set mine to radio, because it's not so obnoxious and head-splitting, and it wakes me up more gradually so it doesn't completely erase my dream recall. I just have to set it about 10-15 minutes earlier so I'll get up in time.

Hey, SomeGuy, keep in mind that lucid dreaming can be pretty productive in and of itself. There is a lot you can do in a lucid dream to improve yourself, get more in tune with yourself, and relieve stress, and I've discovered.

Wow, here I am, of all people, talking about lucid dreaming in Off-Topic. Something's come over me...

Yes.. I have also "given up" or am not following my lucid dreaming. I really should begin to write down my dreams again.
