I did this accidentally last night and I want other people to try it if they can.

I was lucid and for some reason I thought my real body was sleeping on the floor with a bunch of people when actually I was in a hotel room in Denver. So after I left the dream, I went to the floor instead of the real place. I soon became lucid after this. So I was wondering if during a LD, if people expect to wake up in a certain place, it can be used to FA on purpose after loosing the dream.

This is how I think it should go.

Before bed, you have to picture a place that you are going to expect once lucid. This is just to make it faster to come up with the place in the LD and not waste time then. Then during the LD, think about it in detail, then go about your lucid business. Maybe as you are leaving the dream, picture the place again maybe with tactile sensations. Hopefully you will wake up here and either be lucid right away or use that area as a dream sign.

Some possible problems with this method:

-you have to already be lucid and remember to do it.
-if you think about an expected wake up place, you may wake up for real prematurely.

please give it a shot if you remember. It takes very little time and it allows you to do other methods for lucidity at the same time.

I think I see what you're getting at, sort of liek autosuggesting so that any FAs will be moar easily recognizable.

It's a great concept, just might be a little hard to put into practice.

Not that it's not worth a shot.

Yeah, sounds kinda advanced, but remind me about it in the future, cos i LOVE false awakenings :D. Kinda give a great feeling when you wake up for real.

yeah, it kind of sucks that you have to be lucid to try it. I have a love/hate relationship with false awakenings. When I catch one, it is like a gift because I didn't even have to fall asleep again to be in another LD. But once I had 3 in a row of me doing my before school activities. I did not become lucid in any of them. By the end I was like, "Are you serious? I have to shower ALL OVER AGAIN."
