Hi all, like i've said before i`m pretty new to all of this and while i`ve tried to at least WILD and DIELD (felt numb, floaty but no sp) I wish to work on my dream recall.

Now, i'm not too good at remembering my dreams. However when I do have recall I remember a lot but at most three dreams. After reading some tutorials here I`ve had great recall two days in a row. For me this is unheard of.

I'm just wondering how long after going to sleep should I wake up for the best possible recall?

In my experience may differ from your brain. For me my optimum recall is after 5 hours or more of sleep. That's the last REM cycles for the night and usually when lucid dream occours. Try not to interupt sleep before/during the 5 hours or the recall will be crap. The ideal is to sleep for 5 hours or more straight and no alrams to wake you up. You have to train yourself to wake up on your own or set a dimmed light to go off on a timer 5 or more hours later to gently wake you up and after some time it will be implanted to wake up at that time. So you won't need the light anymore. I recomend buying the Philips Wake-Up light if you can afford one although I do not have one but I think it's gonna help your dream recall and probably give you lucid dreams. www.wakeuplight.philips.co.uk

If you're a light sleeper I think you could try a watch alarm or any other quiet alarm. There's actually a tool you can get called an Invisible Clock and it vibrates or lets off an alarm at the time you set it.

This is an excerpt from Clairity's WILD Tutorial on it:

If you're married (or have to share quarters) and, if you can afford it..(and you think "vibrations" would wake you).. I highly recommend getting an "Invisible Clock". This small clock can be set to vibrate or beep or both. There are three vibration levels and you can set up to 12 alarms! I often use the vibration setting on the highest level, wrap the small clock in a face towel and simply lay the clock so that it's pressed against my body. The vibration isn't "jarring" and another plus to a vibrating clock is that it doesn't disturb anyone else when it goes off (not even my husband who is laying right next to me)! Here is one of the websites that sell the Invisible Clock. (http://www.buddhasplace.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=IC101&Category_Code=Clocks)
