We go from 8-4 with an hour break for lunch in there, next week mon-fri then the following mon-wed. I've been trombone section leader all 4 years lol and i know exactly what you mean by "teaching" freshmen. (Gotta make sure that they know their plume is on backwards hehehe)

Our drum major this year is the directors daughter and assistant DM is another girl who things she is cool and this is gonna be the worst year because we are trying to do a big Cirque de Soleil show but the DMs can't even hit wood blocks in time with each other. We also have to make an audition video for Disney World and it's gonna be so hard because half the kids either suck or don't care.

I also play baritone and I have a trumpet and since its basically the same fingering wise i can use it but can't read trumpet music.

I play guitar and bass and a little bit of keyboards/synth and drums too.

I do marching, concert, and jazz band in school and me and some buddies jam with some songs but we aren't exactly a band.

Seriously now, I'm with a guitarist and we jam every so often, but I prefer my solo bass jam sessions. :D

Clarinet. I've played it for 7 years. Going to be 8 years soon... I would've joined marching band, but I wouldn't have been able to make all the meetings... And our band teacher is really strict...

I'm a music major at wichita state univeristy. I play jazz with one girl for school. I also play folk music in my own time. I play with a group of friends (bass, guitar, djimbae, sandblocks, tambourine, shakers) We play some pretty interesting stuff. I write all the music.
