Try a 2d fighting game with multiple stats, (like pain, endurance, health,) and have many different fighting styles and some customization

OR

Should I try and make a top down Roman colliseum game with different weapons, team battles, and soldiers from various armies, (ex. Roman, Hun, Viking, etc.) to pick from.

((I have experience in scripting games but am not good at animation or graphics, much.))

Roman colloseum.

Slapping-people-withyour-Dick game.

Either that, or Colosseum. 2d fighting games are pretty hard to get 'flowing' right. All the flash 2d fighting games I ever saw sucked hard balls. Street fighter ftw.

The colosseum would require group AI, which is very difficult to write, the one on one game would be easier.

Colloseum def.

Any 2D fighting game can be made with Mugen, with no programming knowledge in like two seconds.

I could make the colleseum game online, then all the players would be PCs. But you bring up a good point. Effective group AI would be a bitch.

Yeah, especially since I'm not good at animation.

That they can...

But then you have to do massive networking :P

Yeah, I would... And I've never done that... Unless I scaled down the colloseum game and made it one on one.
