Ok, yesterday was a tough day, and when I fell asleep, I was feeling really tired. After a couple of hours I woke up and tried to sleep again. I started to think about my holidays and the good time I had there. After a while, I started hearing waves and was surprised to see my room(in my vacation-apartment).But while this happened, I knew I was still awake, but I couldn't move or open my eyes.Suddenly I opened them and stopped hearing the waves. What happened?

What do you think happened? :D You were in a dream.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it sounds like if you would have just paid attention to what ever visuals you had, think of it getting more bright. I dunno?

Could this possibly have been sleep paralysis..?

Its not sleep paralysis mate, its when you go into another method of lucidicy
your body falls asleep but your brain slowly drifts into a dream whilst your awake, its a really hard method to obtain did you do any of the following:
some sort of noises whilst you where going to sleep laying perfectly still,
concentrate none stop on the vacation untill your body stopped moving
at this point you would have then heard or felt some sort of sign to let you know that your body has just fallen asleep, once that happens you can either go into lucidicy or astral project ( gget up and walk away ) while your body is still there.
Hoped this helped :)

Correct however they said they were asleep for several hours and then awoke to try to sleep again.
While they were asleep for sometime, there was plenty of room for several sleep cycles to pass and the reduction of monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Because of this, it is likely that their acetylcholine production was also contrived circumscribing their muscle movement.
However, it is also very likely that it was a wake-induced lucid dream as that would be easy to attain during that state due to the low level of neurotransmitters and consciousness.
Although, I am still curious if you had any muscle movement capability...?

Sound like you had sleep paralysis along with hipnagogic(this might be the wrong word I cant remember) hallucinations.

Could be hypnagogic hallucinations (http://www.dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=65425).
Excerpt:
Sometimes you may see entire scenes. They are usually incomplete (if they were complete they would be a dream) but are quickly becoming whole. They happen in the same way as the memory footprint. As your consciousness dips into the subconscious mind it starts picking up the scene that it is building and you may see parts of it fade in and out. This is usually the last stage of hypnogogic hallucinations before you enter a dream.

This is usually where I lose all consciousness. Is that supposed to happen? I don't know how to avoid it.

No, when you ave SP you cannot move a muscle, your hole body becomes detached from your brain, you may experience the bed shaking, your body jumping as if you scared yourself, may also wake you up afew times may also FA , by description before, i withdraw the 'its not sleep paralysis' because the whole thing i was explaining was SP but i was to tired to think it but Yes, SP is another gateway to LD'ing.... i think its WILD where you can use SP to enter a willing and wanted dream, not sure if you enter the dream knowingly your going to dream, but you should start a dream straight away so try to recall some sort of memory of figuring out its a dream! :)

A few broad statements... you can still move some muscles during sleep paralysis but it is most often the eyes. There are cases in which the neck can move but it is usually that the cerebellum is not receiving any MAOI's anymore which negates any muscle movement.
Where are you getting your information about SP...?

O'nus is trying to identify if she actually was in sleep-paralysis.
Anyway, what I see here is just somebody entering SP, then getting some strong HS and HI, but didn't really enter a dream, though was extremely close.

My sleep.... i know it sounds retarted but ive been expirmenting with my memorys in my subconcious, going back to prevoius memorys with my dream guide and trigering and unlocking information i know but i cant remember, so im going back in time , taking the information my brain took in but i never chose to listen to, and bringing it back, each time i actually feel more intellectual lol.... freak or wa? :P
but yeh you cant move any muscle BELLOW the neck, you can still move eyes, blink, breath etc.
it just shuts the outside body down.... also you can still hear, thats still sort of a muscle as if we had no hearing we wouldnt have balance, you know when your fully out for the count cause the bed shakes like a HJ and you think its yourself, its quite a fun experience come to think of it.

While I think it's venerable that you are trying to help people, make sure that you do not simply offer your own conjecture as opposed to collaborated evidence.
There is a large dynamic in the human body and sleep paralysis and they can be pretty much defined by the amount of inhibition via reduction of monoamine oxidase inhibitors like acetylcholine. While the cerebellum will rarely get enough to function the head, it is evident that the originating cause does disrupt the vestibular senses. Thus, your sense of balance and all proprioception are deluded and confusing.
