I've been having some roadblocks trying to LD. I figure WBTB might be the easiest, but the tutorials say that I should focus on my breathing when I go to bed, but I find that when I try to consciously focus on something, my mind can never go to sleep.

When I dream, it's always because my mind flashes with random images which become those dreams. So if I'm focusing on my breath and trying to supress those random images, I can never get to bed.

Can anyone offer me advice through this rough patch I'm in?

heh, those random images is what you should focus on! Forget the breathing, the random images are called hypnogoic imagery, and you can enter a dream form them. Why don't you try out the HIT method instead of WBTB.

Here is a link to a tutorial that I think you will find helpful :D http://www.dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=13497

is that quite similar to the WILD technique?
