Well...I had to write a thesis to graduate with honors from high school. Not that that means anything or will help me in the real world at all, but at least I got some very good experience on how to perform research and elaborate a large investigation proyect. I have no recolection to this day why I chose the topic of school drop out...it just kind of popped into my mind one day. It was an overall very good experience, though I busted my balls doing that...
...Good times...I wish I was back

i wrote a thesis on monogamy vs. poligamy. and how we are naturally poligamious (like most animals), but society forces us to live monogamous lives. how men are more likely to cheat more because of their need to reproduce (they can do it several times a year), and less as a reflection of their mate (they still love the woman and find her attractive, yet still cheat) . women are less likely to cheat because they can only reproduce once a year, and need to be more careful about who they mate with. when a woman does cheat, many times it's a self-conscious issue (am i pretty enough? am i young enough to be attractive?-etc. )
another interesting topic is children survivors of sexual abuse. it has been proven that children who have been sexually abused develope mentally different than those who weren't. i know that sounds obvious, but their brains are formed differently. have you ever seen a picture of someone's brain who's been exposed to alcohol and then someone's who hasn't? they're brains appear somewhat different from one another. this is only an example-not to say that molested children are in anyway less intelligent than others. but some believe that is why they tend to repeat the abuse eventhough they know how bad it felt to them. maybe you could show a study of this and then talk about people who were abused, yet live totally normal lives.
these are just topic examples and not issues i'm trying to debate (before i get a bunch of hate posts from ppl telling me i'm nuts  )

A 120 page paper for high school?! Can I say lol? I dropped out of high school and I am getting a 4.0 in college right now. For a lot of people high school is a very huge waste of time. I am glad I only spent 2 years there. I even got a 2500 scholarship for a test I took. Not bad for only having 9 credits (21 to grad) and barely ever going. :)

It is a complete waste of time, but I loved high school so damn much. I was always in control of things and one way or another I always got my way. I also had some very very good friends who now moved out to other countries to go to college. If I was ever given the choice I would go back to school for the rest of my life...

i agree truthbearer...i miss high school too. and for the same reason's. i dont' want to go to my reunions though. i dont' want to see how it's all changed. sad...actually, i'm still friends with some of my teachers. they were so cool where i went. they would party with us, and when i say party, i mean it!

well...yeah, I am not sure I am prepared to go to my high school reunion when it comes, but I will go anyway. Weird thing is what I loved the most was school life itself. Much more than I will ever love anything else that requires my time or effort. I just had such a blast dealing with everything, procrastinating till the last minute yet always coming up triumphant and having such a blast doing it all....shit, how I truly miss it all. I also miss breaks and lunch with the guys...we had so much fun...
I am nostalgic that that stage of my life is over and that it is all in the past now, but I guess that nothing that good is meant to last. All I would ever ask is that when I die ,and get to meet God or have something like that Robin Williams movie "What dreams may come", is to be able to watch it or relive it again in, whether in my life or just born anew as someone else...
