Dream Views Programs
DV Academy
The DV Academy is a structured program for those who want assistance in learning to lucid dream. Many people feel comfortable studying lucid dreaming on their own, through tutorials and books and threads, but for those who want the extra assistance and more personal interaction we encourage you to consider participation in the Academy (http://dreamviews.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=81).
Art Design Team
The Art Design Team consists of individuals who are interested in creating and working on art-related projects for user threads, fun projects for the users in general (such as avatars, signatures, etc.) or perhaps even projects for the site and forum as well. If you're a pixel Picasso (or an aspiring one), we also encourage you to get involved with the Art Design Team (http://dreamviews.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=34).
Community Team *
The Community Team consists of members who have been around long enough (and/or are/were active enough) to be considered prominent community members (i.e. they make up the heart of our community). Membership used to be via an automatic process that used various criteria; recently it has been changed and is now invite-only. Just because you may have been invited, doesn't mean you'll be approved for membership.
MEMBERSHIP IS BY INVITATION ONLY.
* A note about the Community Team
The Community Team was created as an enclave within the board itself to essentially create and perpetuate a smaller community atmosphere within the larger community that consists of all the users. In other words, it exists so that those who appreciate a smaller community atmosphere can still experience that while the board inevitably continues to grow. Many members of the Community Team thus want it to remain a small group, so membership is very limited; once again, the Community Team was not created to form a chasm between users, but rather it is there to appease those who enjoy a smaller forum.
Unfortunately some members feel left out because they are not part of the Community Team, which is understandable, but sadly everyone cannot be appeased. The existence of the Community Team allows for the best of both worlds if it is preserved properly, and besides, there are other public teams that are immediately open to volunteers.
If you feel you've been here long enough so as to have earned the right to join that team, please PM a staff member to open discussion. Keep in mind again though that the Community Team is supposed to remain small. If you instead have an idea for an additional team, please PM an administrator about it and we'll discuss its possible merits.
