in one of my previous posts, i mentioned about my first ld.

i have no idea why i just suddenly realised i was dreaming, but, i think i know why...


first of all, i knew it was the beginning of the rem because it was abot 5 hrs of going to sleep.
what i was wondering was...
i set an alarm to ring about 5 hrs after getting to sleep. it rang for 5 secs.
could this have partly woke me up? making me more aware im dreaming.

im going to try it again tonight, see if it works again.

When you hear the sound, it will probably be somehow incorporated into your dream and you won't notice it as your LD awareness ring.

well strangely i didn't hear the sound. what i meant was, did it wake me 'slightly' like one of those ld machines that blink lights in your eyes while you sleep

It may be. But so far I haven't had much luck with the light that I built designed to create this effect. I think it's more of the 5 hours of sleep that gave you the LD.
