Chained and locked to a beam for 2 hours

OMG today
My mom left (I was the only one home)
so I decided I would mess around with escapes.
I wanted to do something simple just in case.
So All I did at first, was I nailed a U clamp to a wooden beam in my basement

But the U part was like this

And the U piece of metal was welded to a 1 inch by two inch flat piece of metal with four screw holes.
So I screwed it to the beam. And locked a chain to it
(I have two padlocks I used, both use one key each, and each key works for both locks).
I keep one for a back-up, and just tell people, (if they ask) that it only came with one, for both locks..
Anyways. I shackled the chain to my ankle. with the other padlock, but I did it in a way, that I could slip it, Much like this escape

But I linked it up tighter than normal I dont know why..
And then I decided to give me an insenative to slip out, so I threw the key.. lol.
(A kid took my other key on superbowl night when I was doing escapes for people)
The chain was 20 feet.
And I found out I could not slip it over my ankle even much less my heel because it was so tight!!!
And I sat there for about 1 hour trying to get out of it.
I tried from my ankle, Then I tried from the Uclamp thing, and it would not come off the beam.
I was in my room, and there was plenty of stuff for me to do.
So after realizing i was not getting out until someone came home, I take a nap for about 10 mins, and messed with some cards. and eventually tried to pick the "Anti-Pick" Lock (The pins are triangle so the pick always slips off :(

Sucked if there was a fire huh? lmfao.
I probably would have had adrenaline, and broke the 350 pound test chain right?

At least I dint do any of the dangerious escapes. Like with ropes wraped around your neck to keep you from bending over ect..
Normaly, escape artists, can shake chains off (If in a strait jacket).
But I did it as simple as possible this time, Chined to the beam, and my ankle..
Could not shake anything lol..

Heh. Yeah, but still...when you're home, that's when you want to be as safe as possible. I mean, you're the escape artist, not me, but I would figure that you wouldn't want to do something at home unless you had the kinds of precautions that you don't have in public (like someone to bail you out). I mean, hell, what happens if your family gets delayed for some reason, and you're stuck there for like 6 hours, because of a delay? That would suck. o.O

Aha yeah, I thought I could slip it, but it was just to tight, Oh well you learn from mistakes. Another good thing it was not underwater.
I think I could have got out if I was in real danger.
Next time I will use handcuffs attached to the chain, or zip ties, or rope.
(Alot easier to slip even if they are tight..)

lol i just recently handcuffed one of my hands with a really old pair of handcuffs....the bad thing was i had a key. the key got jammed and i couldnt get it off. good thing i didnt cuff both hands. i ended up with those on my hand for 2 days before i sawed it off with a hacksaw.(just like the movies) the handcuffs belonged to a friend of mine. his grandfather was a state trooper back in the fifties....lol :P

Oh man, this reminds me of that time I locked myself in my own closet. The external doorknob came off so the internal doorknob would just spin and not turn the bolt. I went inside and closed the door for some reason, the fact that the doorknob was missing completely slipped my mind. I got locked in there for quite some time until my brother passed my room as I was banging on the door. When he found me, he rubbed it in my face and laughed hysterically for a couple minutes before actually letting me out.

Why throw the key? Unless you have someone there to help you, you should always have a way out. The thing about the house burning down seems really funny until you actually do end up burning to death. Have a cell phone on you, or just don't throw the key away? I mean even if you had someone down in the basement, what if they started to seizure or something and you couldn't get out to call 911?
I dunno just seems excessively unnecessary and potentially dangerous. :shock:

In this picture you see a strait jacket (Left) 20 foot chain, some rope, 2 marine shackles, 2 pad locks, and one key to the padlock (Those other two keys go to a gun lock lol i dont know why its there) And a snickers wraper (I found it when I was trapped and ate it lmfao)..

I used special nails that pushed outwards on all sides to prevent it self from being pulled out. You can see some scratches were I yanked the chin against it..

This pole, is actually my unfinished death plow escape.
What your seeing here, is were the hands are tied. shackled, or hand cuffed to. (The U clamp thing actually is to hold your shoulders, or neck back to the post). While your hands reach back to that thing in the picture. Backing it hard to breathe, also you have to stay standing, because theres a chain around your neck, and your shoulders keeping you from bending over to breathe, and your arms are bent behind the pole, so you cant bring your arms in front. (Obviously I could not hook my own self up in this thank god lol).. Its called the Death Plow because its a pole, and it keeps you from blowing (Make your body bigger when getting tied up, so you cant relax and have the ropes or chains lose :D ).. Oh were this is located, is about a little lower than waist high..
