What could I go downstairs and get from my fridge/cupboard that would help me attain lucidity/increase dream vividness?
Trying to avoid any vitamin pills but happy to get the vitamins in my sytem through foods or drinks.
You get two PaddyPoints if your suggestion works. You want PaddyPoints, they're better than money!

I seem to have a lot of luck with Apple Juice too. Dreams are more vivid and I often get lucid after drinking it.

Unfortunately, no PaddyPoints awarded so far. I don't have any apple juice and HATE mustard. Soon as I go to the shops tomorrow though, will get some apple juice.
In the apple juice thread someone said it's the anti-oxidants in apples and other fruits that help lucid dreaming so safe to assume redbush tea should work aswell? I freaking love redbush tea! And there's some downstairs.

Okay, so I tried that last night.
Didn't work =/
No recall whatsoever, not to mention lucidity.

Well, in my DJ, I have recorded 3 really vivid dreams, like it was in HD or something, and the thing that did it for me was rice pudding.
What's grape juice like, by the way? And tea?

Rid yourself of doubt, and then any household object will increase your chances.
There are far too many variables to compute for anyone to reliably suggest a particular household object. Having a lucid dream after consuming orange juice does not instantiate the juice as the cause. Indeed, even if one continued to use said orange juice with subsequent success: it's probably one's belief attached to the object that is facilitating the induction of lucid dreams.
The point is simple. Any object has the power to facilitate the induction of lucid dreams - such objects are mere symbols for our mind.
(ps. Obviously some items have, clinically, been shown to facilitate lucid dreaming).

Thanks for everyone's replies, still experimenting with this. I gave in yesterday and took a vitamin B pill (I checked and it includes B6 and B12) but that was more to do with the fact I had no sleep the night before and had to help a friend move (girls have a LOT of stuff) and it says "helps maintain energy" on the bottle. And this morning I did have a DILD, which annoyingly ended straight away.

After reading this I decided to give it a try and for the past 3 nights I've had a lucid dream. Before that I had only had a couple in the past month.
I don't know how much of my routine matters to the success rate, but here's what I do:
I take 100 mg of B6 and 300 mcg of Melatonin. Then I sleep for 5 hours, get up for an hour and study about lucid dreams. While I'm up I drink a glass of apple juice and usually eat something. Then I go back to bed for a couple of hours and eventually I figure out I'm dreaming.
The only downside I have is that the past 3 nights I've had very violent dreams and the first two nights the only reason I realized I was dreaming was b/c I was on the verge of being killed, lol. It's the facing death part that makes something click in my head that I'm just dreaming.
Either way, I'm happy this method works, even if I have to kill someone in my dreams to get there.
