Happy Halo 2 Day!

:breakitdown: today halo 2 was released! wo0t! some of my friends (namely the ones that preordered it like a year ago) went to EB or where ever they reserved it, at midnight and have been playing it all morning. (freaks, lol) so anyways, our school (or at least the gamers in our school that have xbox) have been celebrating, by means of things writing on shirts, or signs taped on shirts, ect. and since thursday is veterans day theres no school..and that means halo all day :goodjob:
...are there any people you know like this?

I will be having a 2 day LAN party over the weekend with some friends, 16 player Halo 2 from friday around 4 pm to like sunday morning. I haven't played the game myself, since I don't have an Xbox (DAMIT!) but I will have a controller the entire time hehehe.. no sleep for me :tongue:

I agree with whoever said Half-life 2 will surpass Halo 2!@#$# But to think about it...hmm...ya, HL2's gonna kick ass. I've had nearly equal replay value for both. I even played Halo : Combat Evolved the other day cuz I love the challenge of trying to kill aliens with an Xbox controller. :shock:

Mild insomnia wont help you from nodding off when you stay up for 2 days with little to no sleep, and playing a 16 player ultra graphical video game the whole time with contacts in (im planning on taking mine off after a day and switching to glasses for a few hours) will probably make your fingers blister and your eyes bleed.

Get over the whole Half-life 2 stuff, please. Unless you've honest-to-god played both Halo 1/Halo 2 and Half-life 1/2, don't start fan-boying. I'm not saying it's not going to be great, but just...relax :)


Anyway, I felt a little dissapointed with Halo 2...don't know why. Hmmm. The single player, the multiplayed, I don't know. It was just some little things that got me down. Not to mention the online play has become a Unreal tornument bonanza...


Still, I'm giving it a little while. Anyone want to play me, just invite VinMan11 to your game, and let the ownage begin :D

I have played Halo and Halo 2, while good I just think the computer could of created a game like that years before it came onto Xbox. Console players finally got a taste of the good FPS world. Half Life was very good, and even if Half Life 2 sucks the mods will be there.

I have been trying not to become a fan boy but whenever people tell me I am stupid for believing Half Life 2 will be better than Halo/Halo 2 when they haven't even played it I become frustrated. But even fanboys can be wrong...and they often are.

Or maybe I just hate playing shooting games with a controller...Anyway, we'll see this tuesday.

Red orchestra is REALLY good ... now with all the infantry movement improvements, its gonna be even BETTER, and the new maps im really looking forward too, vehicles are cool, but not sure if they'll fit into the gameplay as good.

I played Battlefield 1942 for like 2 years. While not realistic, it was fun. Call of Duty was good, so I guess RO wouldn't be a bad step.

Also, Day of Defeat Source won't let me down.

My last game addiction was Starcraft. I never liked the FPS, and even strategy is played out for me now--it's all war and violence, and violence is just boooooring. I've got all these PC games, and all I ever play is Civ3 sometimes.

Of course, I'm on Second Life several times each week :D. I guess that's my fix these days.

Yay! Finally got Halo 2!!!

Cinematics are absolutely gorgeous...I can't help but admire the intricate detail of MC's armor.

Gameplay style threw me off at first, cuz I was intensely used to the first game. Took a few hours to appreciate Halo 2.

Story could've been much better. When the game ended, I was thinking I was halfway through the game, and I'm like "Oh damn, you did NOT just start rolling the credits now!!!" lol Kinda pissed me off. :(

Multiplayer is really really fun....

Speaking of fanboys, what really gets on me nerves is the bunch of console fan boys... God, it's about the game, not the frickin console!!

that was my coolest kill, there is no sniper rifle...there's a crossbow. I hit him and the bolt attached him to the wall. I have a lot of pics on that site. Game was awesome, but the ending kind of dissapointed me. Throwing guys at other guys was fun though.

2 health? Is that multiplayer or not? I'm having alot of fun with the gravity gun, heh usefull slaughtering headcrab zombies, but i fecking HATE the ones who have like, 5 of those poisonois ones, they are SO damn' annoying... that part was FREAKY.

The game get's a bit harder later on. I had 2 health in single player. I played on hard though, easy is wayyyy to easy and the auto aim was annoying.

Graphics look awsome, i like playing those type of games. Only problem is they're only good the first time, so better to borrow off a friend or something rather than buy.
Storyline looks good though, better feel to it when it's related to something that did actually happen.

Yea, same with half life 2, (didnt buy it) I finished it and there's not much more to it then that... ofcourse, multiplayer always keeps things interesting... S.T.A.L.K.E.R. seems to be more open ended then most FPS though, thats what makes it so interesting... I hope it'll be the 'Morrowind' of the FPS' genre heh, roaming around the zone capturing stuff, making money, goin on the occasional mission.
