View Full Version : Do you Find it Easier to WILD in the Night or the Morning?

Perhaps it is because of some subconscious fear of awakening in an LD in complete darkness, but for whatever reason I find it easier to WILD in the morning when there's a bit of light. I've only had two WILDs, But I've attempted at least 5~6 times. The 2 LDs were in light, and with my failed WILDs I've come the closest in the morning but almost nothing at night : /
I heard tonight through surfing around though, that small amounts of light can be a reminder to your brain that you're dreaming. I think that may play a factor.

So for you, what is easier and why? Just curious.

Also, the other day about 3 hours after waking I got memories of attempting to WILD that morning that I'd forgotten. But the thing is, I remember getting vibrations, and a weird fluttery feeling in my stomach/chest, I remember being paralysed but I don't remember dreaming.
Is it more likely that I just fell asleep in a normal dream and didn't become lucid, or did I just dream about trying to WILD o__O I mean, since it took me like 3 hours after waking up to remember even having tried at all.

I prefer attempting to WILD at night. I like to watch the imagery that develops in front of my eyes and it reminds me that I can be fully aware and still dream. But when there is a bit of light on my eyes I tend to focus on the thought that I'm in my bed making effort to WILD which cripples my chance of even getting imagery at all.

Plus I like the dark =P

After doing a WBTB you have much better chances of getting into a WILD. You're body is more relaxed, and you can get in SP much faster. I'm not saying that you can't have a WILD in the night, but it's much harder.

EDIT: So for you, what is easier and why?
I've said it above. It's much easier to WILD in the morning after a nice WBTB. And I think it's the light too; it reminds your brain that it's morning and that it has to stay awake. (that's my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong)

as long as it's a WBT i can normally WILD regardless of the time of day. Evening shift, day shift, unemployment ect just changes when I go to sleep.

Dreaming and dream recall are both better for me in the mornings when I'm not too tired. At night my body is just too tired to consistently pull off WILDs, even after WBTB.

It's far easier in the morning, when one is in the REM stage. I am getting close to completing it before bed. I got some audio hallucinations so I was close.

HILD work better for me, but on the rare occaision that I try to WILD, I seem to do it at night. Perhaps it's because of my morning regiment that makes me too antsy to fall back asleep, being worried that I'll stay asleep?

Whatever the reason, I just do it at night.
