View Full Version : DV Member Makeover Thread

ClouD

Ridiculously vain of us in chat, we were discussing how certain members could change their appearance to our approval.
For example, taking off those unnecessary vision-correction devices, shaving certain beards, a little bit of nip-tucking, and perhaps complete facial reconstruction.

IN THIS THREAD::
Post a picture of yourself, and a short sentence or two about yourself, or something else irrelevant.

You will then be analysed by other DV members as to how you could possibly change your appearance to their liking.

Note: This should be taken very lightheartedly, purely for fun, and you may even leave with a little bit of advice that you actually find helpful.

We're all ugly bags of skin, let's celebrate it by being positively critical to each other.
Insulting side comments will not be accepted! Brought to you by ice cold top cola.

I think you could really benefit from a simple upside-down-frown-nip-tuck.

Before giving any further advice, I need to ask a question if you don't mind.
Are you male or female?

Kiza

I don't know, my head cannot bend back that far man

ClouD

The first step is for you to accept your transsexuality.

I've contacted the experts, they should be arriving shortly.
They should be easy to spot, like you, they cannot seem to find their genitals.

Kiza
06-22-2009, 05:23 AM
I can find my genitals man, really, I lick them all the time, it's alright man, don't let them take me man they do strange shit in there man, seriously man I was just making a joke I WON'T MAKE ONE AGAIN I'M SOR

Kiza

Ahem.

I'm going to go ahead and formally apologise for those shenanigans just then. It completely lead the thread on the wrong track. I am sure ClouD did not want this to be a topic about transsexual doggies. Or maybe he did, knowing ClouD. In any case, I misguided the thread into dark lands, filled with wildcats, wild dogs and wild sillyness. For that I am sorry.

Continue on with makeovers.

You look sleepy. And even though you're grinning and your eyes have a subtle kindness to them, I see sadness and some anger (It could be the shadows in the pic, but your chin seems to jut out a little bit which implies anger to me.) You look like a "quiet type" who isn't prone to "clowning around". And for some reason, it's hard for me to pinpoint your age. 17-23 is the range.

**Edit**
Congrats on being the first person brave enough to go :D

Amazing idea! I need a trim of the old barnet! So will post a picture tonight and what ever the majority think I will actually have it done to my hair (within reason) and post back pictures :D

Yes I was very sleepy, just got to america a few days ago so bad jet lag and that pic was taken after midnight.

Subtle kindness? Thanks ;D

I'm pretty sure it's just shadows, I'm not sad or angry - just a little concerned about big decisions i'll need to make soon.

As much as I hate 'cold reading' - you're right about the quiet type. I'm quite introvert (shut up emo kid) - but not anti-social, but again not a party type.

And well guessed, I'm 18 :D

I'm Adam, I'm 27 years old and live in England. I'm a shy guy and really conscious about my looks. I want to be more outgoing and appealing to other people, what do you think would help?

Thanks :)

Final offer - seriously, what should I do with my hair?

Your hair compliments your face and vice versa. You'd have to see your face to tell you what to do with your hair.

Dizko, the only suggestion I'd make is a different hair style.
I am picky with hair, and not a fan of curly spikes.

My recommendation is to grow it out a little, then to a good place to get your hair cut, pay a decent amount of money (ok a little more than decent), and experiment. As long as you pick a good hairstylist then you're walking out somewhat happy.

-

Adam, have you ever tried having it shorter at the back? It's a bit kiddy, but it might look good. Like so it can be spiked at the crown, and have a fringe at the front and straightened sideburns. (I like this style :x)

-

Kael, you should get some sunglasses for playing in public.
Will look cool, and other people won't get scared of your eyeballs falling out.

I think you *cough*definitely*cough* need to change the hair. Straight hair with mild highlights methinks.

I do like the hat, keep the hat.

Man of Steel, I advise that you carve a chunk out of your ear and fashion a necklace out of it.

Just in case.

I trimmed my eyebrows :3, it's in the picture thread.

I want to get a short hair cut, I'm tired of having scene hair and want something that's lower maintenance (i.e. not having to use a flat iron a lot). I don't know what would work though, because I've only ever really had 3 hair types. Shaved when I was a little tike, long hair (similar to DP's, kind of) when I was in middle school, and scene hair through most of high school. Halp.

I did at one time, but I've had it for so long. And I hate not being able to shower at opportune times because of how my hair will react (gets very, very thick and lame). If I shower before some event, it has to be 3ish hours before, and I have to wear this toboggan to keep it from expanding. Then I have to straighten it and hope it's not humid out.

I'm excited for low maintenance.

Eh, that's the price of awesome hair. I can't help you there, I'd hate to see you cut it though ;_; Have you tried blow drying it then straightening it? I do that, it takes about 20-30 minutes.

Actually, I never have. Which is surprising, as I've tried a lot of shit to make the process easier.

Yeah, do what DP said to make it easier. But, cuts are always good, its hair, it'll grow back :D
