Hey :D
i've been trying Adams WILD technique for one night, didn't get there but while I was doing it I started hearing weird noises like feet or something and my body felt like it had been dropped 20000 meters up.
I stopped the WILD and looked around, I heard someone say
"Finally your awake!"
Sounded like an old lady's voice..
Have you had any experiences like this?
I haven't had an LD yet but tonight I think I might be getting lucky, i've only been trying for a few days anyway.
:thanks::poke: ^_^

The other day I was drifting into a WILD which would have been my first. A "Batboy" face popped up in my closed eye visuals and I heard a woman whispering. She said "Then he ran away and he followed his mother."
Too bad I was startled out of my WILD attempt, because I was almost there. I felt my body swinging back and forth and everything. It was intense.

I hear voices all the time during my WILDs. They can be pretty disturbing, since they sound so real. Be prepared for all kinds of fun hallucinations. They are all part of the ride.

This is going to make me sound really dumb, but I always hear voices as I'm falling asleep, but I just never really paid attention to it until I learned that it can be part of the whole WILD process. I always thought I was just imagining them, which I guess in a way I am, lol -- but then as I became more aware of my "falling asleep" process, I realized that I always hear them.

If I hear voices, it's usually a familiar voice. You have gotten to the hallucinations, you shouldn't be too far away from your dream if all goes well. Just try not to let it bother you, it's hard but you get used to it.

I have heard some really weird things as well. The most recent WILD I had involved strange and creepy whispering voices that seemed to be in some sort of other language, mixed with strange background music. This when on for a while when I heard my mom's voice yell "wake up". I jumped awake confused since I was alone in my appartment then realized it was just a hallucination.

Remember, if you get startled out of your WILD, don't give up for the night. Just relax again, and you should get back into it surprisingly quickly.

I just had my first LD!
It was WBTB around 9:30 am
it was quick though it came in 3 parts.
I tried to fly but I did likee a really long jump >_<.
This was a half WILD half DILD.
Because I woke up and went back to bed normally but when I was in the dream I didn't do RC's or anything I was straight in. Haah. ^^

My first WILD attempts were very disturbing. Especially since I'd never known about the hallucinations. I heard insanely loud sounds of metal screeching as if some semi truck was smashing his brakes next to my window.
Then I heard footsteps in my room and just knew someone was there...and I was in SP so I couldn't move as much as I kept trying to, which is when I thought I couldn't breathe and I panicked like hell.
One of the creepiest I had was when I was sleeping at a friends on the couch and I went into SP. At this point I was well aware of the hallucination one can have but I wasn't ready for the "old hag" to be sitting on the couch near my head with her palm against my face. A little too much for me.
So be prepared for the worst and don't try to justify anything to your senses. They are wrong but its not necessarily a bad thing to give in to their plees and panick out of SP. Once you do that a couple of times you've given yourself sufficient proof that your senses were wrong. Its the experience AND patience that will allow you to progress past that nonsense.

It is weird how I still try to convince myself the hallucination must be real. I still always have to fight the urge to wake myself up to check. As if, maybe, just this once, there really is a huge humanoid cat creature kneeling on my chest singing the theme song to Golden Girls.
I wonder if anyone ever slept through a violent home invasion because they dismissed it as SP hallucinations. I doubt it.
I sometimes hear voices, but they are like background noises so I don't pay any attention to them, usually they are just a jumble, however one night i heard a voice shouting my name which snapped me out of my half asleep state straight away ;D

Oh those voices can be scary. When I was in grade school I would take baths before I went to school and I would be absolutely dead tired. And on occasion I would hear screaming voices from far away sometimes. They were very faint though. Back then I had no idea they were sleepy hallucinations because I was so tired I didn't really care. I was a little disturbed but just too tired.

hypnagogic hallucinations are fun IMO well at least afterwards hahaha
No old hag for me though, only a ghoul that breaks through my window landing on top of me kind of in a sexual position accompanied by brutal death metal guitar riffs..or the usual evil presence, spinning or falling sensation.
