well i am a newbie here but i have always had dream recall

one thing i noticed a long time ago was taht i always have these nightmarish dreams about toilets. disgusting toilets. i'm always forced into one of these disgusting cubicles
and for some reason they always have no door or something like that so i feel really exposed
sometimes they're in the middle of public places and i have to use them in front of everyone else, which is even more disgusting
sometimes they don't flush, or there's no water nearby
ugh sorry i just had one today

anyway my question isn't about interpreting this dream (i'm pretty sure they stem from my disgust of toilets and fear of exposure) but it's about distinguishing these from reality (after all, that is the purpose of a dream sign, to make you realise you're dreaming)

i feel like this is really unreliable as a dreamsign, first because i dont' ALWAYS have dreams about toilets, and second because, believe it or not, i do use toilets in real life too. i don't really think i have any other dreamsigns so how do i use this one to my advantage (i.e. to attain lucidity)?

Well I would definitely RC every time you go to the bathroom or see a toilet! Even though you don't always dream of them, if that's one of your most common dreamsigns then go with it. You'll have more LDs Rcing at toilets then you will if you don't. :)

Ha ha. I can't answer your Q but I have the same recurring dream. Dirty toilets, only one toilet cubicle available and it's disgusting. Public toilets with transparent walls. Having no toilet paper. etc. Nice.

I have different categories of non-lucid dreams. Flying dreams, video games, space, adventure, hotel, and... bathroom dreams. Sometimes the bathroom dreams are kind of sexy, like, unisex locker rooms.

Do an RC every time you use a public bathroom especially.

I used to have TONS of dreams where I was using the bathroom and suddenly the walls of the cubicle would collapse, or the only toilets woule be in the middle of this shopping plaza, and you had to pay before you could use them...and EVERYONE could see you using them...:shock: I think there was a thread on this...and perhaps something in the tutorials. Things like this and getting lost, or walking in a public area without clothes on, or forgetting code combinations...they're all signs of stress or something. Oh, and teeth falling out. All are fairly common.

yes i have had those naked dreams

and no my toilet dreams are NOT sexy i never get mile high i'm just too disgusted haha

and sure i will do an RC everytime i use the toilet - it's discreet then

I agree with everybody else -- use this to your advantage and RC whenever you use a toilet! I think this could really end up working for you. Good luck!

Last week I had a non-lucid dream in which I was masturbaiting into a toilet in front of a lot of people I used to be friends with. :S

yeah you shold RC when seeing a toilet. I read on some site that when you see a toilet it signifys emotion in your dream. Like an overflowing toilet means you have to much emotion, a clogged toilet means you need to show your emotions more etc.
