Half-Life 2

I recently purchased it and I find it intense, exhilirating and has much better graphics than the previous version :D Plus it's nice to see some of the people in Half-Life looking more detailed. Overall I give it a perfet 10! :goodjob: Congrats to Valve, Sierra and all other companies in conjunction with the Half-Life 2 game :) There's just one problem: How do you get in the bloody air-boat on Route Kanal :mad:

I 'acquired' it, not knowing if it would run good on my PC. It runs very well actually, aside from the 3 minute loading times I must endure. I would just like to congradulate Nvidia for making the greatest low-end graphics card! The 5200 must be able to do anything....I've yet to tackle Doom3 for this test.

Back to the game, I must say, it's much to my liking. The story seems a little a more to my liking than say Halo 2's, but I can't say about the action. Halo still beats it out here. The graphics do take down Halo 2's by far (from high-end screenshots and footage I mean), and the physics are just incredible. The amount of 'play with it' stuff is pretty high too. There are a lot of voices and voice scripts for the NPCs, and great voice-work, but from what I've seen, not a lot of face variety. However, Half-life 1 did only have 2-3 generic scientists and hardly a few gaurd types, so I'm not complaining. However, the amount of time taken, I would expect a little more. But it doesn't really bother me much. Sound is, for the most part, excellent, but Halo 2's musical score is the best in a video game to date.

Half-Life 2 gets a sold 9.2 from me (Selects '9' for voting purposes). :) :thumbup:

frankly i like it. great game. the script work is amazing, and intense, etc etc. perfect game, except for the ending.

the ending is complete BS it pissed me off.

I agree, the ending of Half-Life was completely shit, i was expecting something else and when i just saw the g-man hiring me i was like wtf?! At least the beginning and middle bits are always good. But i still gave it a perfect 10 :D

After the years of hype i expected more some how and for all its things that where eye pleasing it didn’t seem to have much soul. If you thought the ending of the original was bad (I didn’t think it was) you will be really really disappointed by this one :-)

i really love this game. probably the best ive ever played. everything is just so perfect, everyting has been carafully thinked out. definetely worth 10 out of 10.

People still play it even though they know it's gonna be a crappy ending :P Just like me. It's like weighing out the pros and cons,

cons= bad ending

pros= beter physics than last game, more game play time, better graphics etc. :P
