Just found out about tribes.net sort of the best of a whole bunch of similar things a little like stumbel etc. Anyway they have millions of tribes about all conciousness subjects but its thin on the ground for lucid ones. I've always admired DV's approach to its growing expansion and I think this could really help. If someone set up and DV tribe it could act like a mini outpost hoovering up all those peeps out there, so someone set it up, pretty easy I've just done a Crossroads one.

Looks like an awsome idea, good way to advertise a website like yours or dv's. You should pm Seeker or Ice and see what they think, id be in favour of it!

Maybe one day we can dominate the dreamworld, ahahah (sorry my imagination just showed me on a chair with naked n00bs serving me grapes)

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll begin looking at it a little later. Busy morning for me.

I personally think that Dreamview, LD4all and the other similar forums on the internet are going to become the old school of forums. This is mainly cause they are just so unconnected to each other.

Look at Dreamviews, LD4all, Fishbowl, Sealife, etc, etc I'm a member of them all and I appreciate them all and the difference thaqt arises from membership and leadership direction. That said I also ge4t annoyed, thinking "you know that answer to your question is at this forum or another" or "this project would really benifit from the combined resources of a few forums at once." I would never like to see some giant merged mega LD forum but a better line of connection sometimes would make great sense.

This is something that these types of forums can never offer (as far as I'm aware). The Tribes forums and others like it are to me the way things will enventually move as they allow easy member movement and threads that can span (thread bridge) across forums with similar themes. At the moment forums like this are set up to handel more complex forum structure and discussion and the Tribes at the moment look like forum lite versions but that will change I'm sure.

P.s I once setup a thread bridge between two forums, one thread about a topic that was an intrest to both forums, the posts were shuttled to both forums three times a day by a few members who were members of both places. We had to shut it down eventually as was too much of a sucess (too hard to keep up with traffic).

There is defintely something to gain from a few select threads with "shuttled posts". I mean, it wouldn't set off any "oh no, Dreamviews is merging with ld4all/sealife/whatever" crap, but I could see the benefits in these two different types of members sort of conversing over one topic, it could certainly bring some new stuff into the mix.

I don't know of an auto function to do this though? Does anyone else with any programming whatnot have any idea if its possible from just from an ideas stage? Shutteling over a thread bridge by hand is too much of a chore.

It is definetly possible, although there aren't really any pre-baked ways that I know of.
