I PMed Ice Paw about it -- the "View Your Posts" link is giving me the dreaded "cannot delete old id sessions" page again.

I hope this gets fixed and stays fixed.

Crap, it's happening to me too. I think they're fixing it now.

Guys, there are lots of 'guests' crawling around our site today, I think it is related to that.

i already reset the purging from 48 hours to 6 hours; this is getting ridiculous. we have to do something about this exorbitant guest problem, because with it elevating this much (there are 577 guests on right now!) we're going to run into bandwidth trouble. this has to still be that worm issue, but how could it just explode so much in one day? like what the hell is going on?

actually i've just found a fix that should filter out all the highlight-exploit attempts, thus rescinding this problem.

anyway, i'm gonna try it out now.

Still no solution icedawg?

LD4all has been running really slow today because of the large amount of fake guest. I read a little about it on phpbb.com, and came across this thread: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=251585
It mentions several solutions that some people have had luck with. I'm going to send this URL to pasQuale and hope it helps speeds things up at ld4all again.

good luck guys, these large guest numbers have become ridiculous. I'm ready for some (semi)normalcy.

actually it's taken care of now, but they're still OUT THERE making their requests...their requests, however, are no longer being answered with forum pages. we've been slow too, and this will help speed us up a bit, but resources are still used to handle the hundreds of requests repeatedly made.

Thanks so much, Ice Paw! Don't know what we'd all do without ya!

It sucks when this happens. I except the worm is just some faceless entity, and it might not figure out that we've filtered them out. I never noticed any speed flucuations here, though. Have you asked ipower if there's anything they can do about this? Because 500+ guests is ridicilous, and they have your money... Shame when this happens on the internet. You can't just sort of go up and punch the offendant in the face, because there isn't really one.

a little search would work, hurrahness. block any requests with "%2527" in htaccess.
