one of my friends was talking about that game, is it like you can go where ever you want like in runescape or does it have a story to follow

Ah, yes... If only I hadnt lost my character.... That game is so great. And I think I only managed to play like, 40% of it...

Yeah, I had lost a few characters as well. It sucks big-time.

Without exageration, out of the so many people that have bought this game, only about .5% have probably beaten it to above 90%. And this is without expansions, either!

Remember, 'The Minish Cap' is part of a balanced diet. I would say 'Dark Chronicle' (Dark Cloud 2 for Americans), but thats a PS2 game, so 'Fable', I guess.

I thoght about getting dark cloud, I geuss I will look at screenshots and reviews for these games, too see wich one is the best, I'm not the averidge gamer, I don't like too much guns, or cars, I like alot of colorful fastasy like worlds like in final fantasy

Same here, for me inovation and story are the most important pat of a game. I don't care about the graphics.

I recently played through Legend of Dragoon, which was incredible. This morning I finished X-Men Legends, which I thought was awesome, but I have always been a big X-Men fan.

I'm not huge into video games...but does Grand Theft Auto count as an RPG? If it is, San Andreas wins hands down.

God, am I the only one who hated that game? It was poorly planned, poorly made and sold on the name. It had RPG elements, but it wasn't an RPG.

Yes, from the looks of it

But I don't blame you, really. There are a lot of bad, bad, games hitting the market. And with EA's "Let's consume the entire gaming market through a series of industry damaging stock and licensing moves", a real bad crash is approaching the gaming industry...

San Andreas wasn't too bad, but it didn't have the same defining flavor as the original. Besides, the story was pretty good starting off, but it dragged on too much. I don't think GTA can hit that "Tony Montana Climb-To-The-Top" thing very well.

what ever happened to memerable games like, fur fighters (played 3 times through), power stone 2 (best fighting game I've ever played, put 50 hours on it.), smash bros. series (another best fighting game, I have every singel trophy), paper mario (played it 5 times through), and zelda wind waker(they should make more games like this).

Well fur fighters got remade on the PS2, Capcom don't seem to want to re-release any of the powerstone games, shame, they were great. Smash bros will probably get a DS remake, Paper Mario 2 is on the gamecube. Finally the next 3D gamecube Zelda is out at the end of the year, which takes place about 10 years after the Wind Waker, set in the new Hyrule! I really need this game now.

System Shock 2, or possibly Deus Ex.

Definitely Fire Emblem. That game is so the coolest! I already reserved the ones on GCN & GBA besides the 1st one. Fire Emblem came out only in Japan until 2003, when they released it. My personal favorite character is Lyn.

When you say RPG do you mean FF type/level up game? Or adventure games like Zelda? There's no real 'best' since it all depends on your style.

Legend of the Heaven Sword (It's in Chinese though and never got remade into English. It's the best RPG ever made though if you get the storyline and battle system down.)
Chrono Trigger (Many of the original SNES RPGs are good)

Shenmue I and II

Once again I must reiterate that MORROWIND beats all your fairy-ass anime RPG's

I would have to say I think the best rpg was Gargoth made right in my friend's own home and only released to those who cared was the best. It had the coolest storyline and awesomest looking people. I gave my ideas for the sequel and there was going to be another, but no one wanted to do any work so that bombed. If I had a copy I would play it. You can have up to 12 people in a battle at once and you can even hook them up on separate computers. Though it was turn based it was cool.

The one I had the most fun with was Legend of Dragoon. I really had more fun cuddling up with my friend's sisters than actually playing the game. Also my friend and me talked about it a lot. It consumed our lives for a while.

Exactly. Prepare for a Final Fantasy's ass-rape with the release of Oblivion.

The only thing I fear for is that it will be too short.
With the graphical improvements that have been made in the past few years, the time to develop a game has increased so much. Nowadays a game is 5-6 levels, for example splinter cell I played that the other day, and finished it within 2 days, or half life 2 was also so very short because it just takes so much time to create all the enviroments. I know they already said that oblivion would be smaller then morrowind, but I hope it wont be too small...

you play shenmue, wow your the first, my friends call it shampoo (they never played it), I remember when I first got that game I was sick and my friend and my brother were playing it, I watched them, then I played it, it took me a long time to beat, I was stuck on such a simple part, it was pithetic, when I got number 2, witch is the number 1 reason I got the xbox, I played it 3 hours at a time, and had realy bad head aches at night, took me 2 weeks to beat it.

I loved Shenmue. It's a shame that 3 will probably be an MMORPG (If you believe the gossip) which is a shame, seeing as I wanted to carry on with the storyline.

A good RPG series is the Shadow Hearts series. They actually have quality gameplay unlike alot of other horrid RPG's out there.

It's still up in the air. I think there's a page on Gamespot.com, but I truthfull cannot remember.

About Oblivion:

I trust Bethdesa from previous titles. They have a more than solid team, and they always deliver good stuff. The length of action games is different however. While a few years ago the main focus of the genre was too challenge the player and give the player all the explosion he wants, the modern-action game focuses on the adrenaline rush from the 1st play through.

Bethdesa's work is obviously different from this--though how much shorter in comparision to the other games... :?
