*raises hand*
I also have massive dream recall because of it, and a great audible memory (though whether this is related, I cannot be sure).

I Do not have a photgraphic memory, I have more of a wording memory.
Which is better?

I can't say which is better, but there is a big difference: with photographic memory you can remember visual occurances, not just words. But there can be great benefits with each (and downsides).

i bet it would be such a weird experience to go into the mind of a guy with a photographic memory for a day.
The very core of your mind workin in a diff way? That'd be very strange.

I suppose I have a photographic memory. I can remember whole songs after hearing them once or twice. That could just be normal though, never asked anyone

I belive that is a "wording" type memory. I can also remember whole songs after only hearing them a few times.
But my brother who claims he has a photographic memory can hardly remember a song after he's heard it for a month straight.

That's because auditory memory isn't something your mind sees as important, so it's not focused enough to carry with you into your later life. The same is with photographic memory--once we learn to read, the mind feels it has no use in remembering things like that, and we "drop it" for our language.

I have photographic memory
I used to have 16k only, but I deemed this to be not enough, so I purchased an extra 256k memory card. I haven't needed more than this to the date. I have an A60, which is 2.0 megapixels, so I really don't need much more

Damn! You beat me to that one... grr.
I have a weird memory... really bad short-term, but I can remember facts and writing realyl well, so I guess it's a worded memory. I'm ok at remembering images and sounds too...
Hey, you know how a smell can trigger memoried from childhood etc, why does that work? What would the evolutionary purpose be of remembering smells? Would it be to recognise foods? eh well it's just a thought...
