Nutmeg Dreams
Note: Do a lot of research before ingesting large amounts of nutmeg or trying any drug.
EDIT: This dream happened in June or so. I decided to meditate in shavasana (sp?). It's a yoga pose lying on your back, eyes closed, palms facing upward. I thought this might enhance the high. When I do this sober, and take deep breaths, I get real body highs, and feel very tingly and relaxed. So, I meditated, and released all the mental chatter. I felt fear, and allowed myself to feel the emotion, then released it. I stretched out my spine. I focused on my breath, simply breathing deeply. I meditated on nothing else but my breath. The next thing I can remember is walking back into my room, startled to see my grandmother in there, since she never goes in there, even though I live with her. She was lighting incense on this huge shrine, about four feet high, in the center of my room. The shrine looked like black cardboard, with progressively smaller boxes stacked one on the other, with holes for incense sticks. When I walked in, she looked startled and embarrassed. She said, "Oh, I'm sorry." Then, she walked out, murmuring, "it smells like poison in here," really spitting out the p in poison, sounding annoyed. She knows I smoke cannabis, by the way, and is fine with it, but we don't talk about it. I put out a stick of incense, and to my chagrin, there were a bunch of sticks burning all around the shrine. Some were unlit. I didn't know if she was planning on lighting them all or what. I put them all out. I was tired, so I went to sleep. There were some people talking outside my window that woke me up. I looked out the window, and saw three people standing outside their cars, and maybe some more inside. The three people outside their cars were two men and a woman. They seemed to have a shady vibe, which annoyed me, but didn't make me feel scared. The man on the left looked right at me, making eye contact. I looked back, not caring. After all, I was just looking out my window, and he was the one peering in, so I didn't feel bad about it. He continued talking to the other man. The woman didn't speak. The other man was dressed in a suit, or button down shirt looked at me. He looked like this guy, Zach, I just met. I was annoyed with him also. His stare was more intense and bold than the first guy's, but I wasn't afraid at all. I decided to just go back to sleep. As I laid down, I noticed he was still staring at me, which is impossible, because the wall is in the way. I just chalked it up to a nutmeg hallucination, and went back to sleep. I woke up in bed with three other guys. It was like an oversized king sized bed. We were sleeping as to avoid touching each other, like how my friends and I used to sleep after hotel parties. I thought, "That's weird. I don't remember this party. Well, I'll just get a drink of water and take a piss, and it will all come back to me." It was light out, and as I walked across the hall to use the bathroom, I ended up in a room I have never seen before. This room had a sliding glass door, and sunlight pouring in. It was full of rattan furniture. The three guys were three White guys I talked to on Friday night that I have met earlier. It's unusual to see three White people in a group of friends here in Hawaii, becaue Whites are a minority. Zachary walked past me into the room, and picked up a newspaper off the nightstand. He asked me if he could borrow it. I said, "Yeah, sure. Oh, wait, my grandma wants to go through it first. Actually, wait until she's done." The next thing I knew, I was half asleep in my room. I was awakened by my sister's hair brushing against my face. There was a period where, as adults, we had to sleep in the same room because of overcrowded conditions, so it wasn't particularly surprising. I would sleep on her bedroom floor. It was night again. After I noticed it was night, I realized that whole episode of me with the three White guys was obviously a dream, because of the absurdity of it. My sister walked out of the room. I was about to use the bathroom, but she went in their first. It was fine, I didn't have to go that badly anyway. I walked down the hall to the kitchen to get a drink of water. Right before I got to the kitchen, she called me from the hallway behind me, "Remember to drink lots of water, because of all that nutmeg." And I said, "Right." I noticed a lot of visual distortions at this point. I felt very strange, the feeling is pretty indescribable, but I will do my best. I felt fascinated by the wavy hallucinations, a little afraid at was was going to happen next, excited because of the anticipation, and a constant underlying euphoric high. I started seeing double. Actually, it was more like, I was processing what each eye was seeing individually without merging my sight into a whole. My sister had my reluctant trip sitter when I drank some morning glory tea made of one leaf with minimal effects. I thought she was doing a good job of being my trip sitter at the moment. I stood in front of a mirror that is shaped like a window in the dining area. It was on the opposite wall, though. I had been looking at my reflection in the mirror as I was smoking. I feel mirrors are empowering if you can stare into them for a long period in the darkness and release your fear. I remembered the idea of looking at your hands when you realize you are lucid dreaming to stay in the dream, and stay lucid. My sister walked down the hall and was near me, placidly watching. I lifted up my hands, palms facing inward, and saw nothing. I physically felt my hands go up, but saw nothing. I repeated this a second time, and then a third. The third time, I saw my hands and arms reflected in the mirror, but not my real hands. I said aloud, "Look at your hands. I am dreaming," just as I have been doing while awake and sober in order to induce and retain lucid dreams. At this point I realized I was tripping balls. I decided I needed another drink of water, remembering how nutmeg dries you out, and I didn't want a nutmeg hangover. I excitedly went to the kitchen sink, and got a drink of water. After I drank it, I again lifted up my hands to look at them. Nothing. I went back to the mirror. I saw the reflection in the mirror again. For some reason, I went into Horse Stance, (the typical karate/kung fu wide stance with bent knees) and I felt powerful. I felt strong because I was tripping so hard, yet I was unafraid. I kept moving my hands up and down, seeing the backs of my hands and my forearms in the mirror, and the reflection of my shirtless torso and head, but seeing no hands right in front of my face. I kept saying, "Look at your hands, I am dreaming." I was pleased with myself at being able to trip so hard, and release the fear. My sister just stood there watching me, placidly. I felt mana coming up out of the ground into my feet, and moving up my legs into my whole body. I said, "fuck yeah," to myself, and kept moving my hands up and down. I was ready for the rest of the trip. I knew I would be alright, and not freak out. Suddenly I was lying in bed with no pillows or sheets on it. I got up, took a piss, and got a drink of water. I wondered what was going to happen next. I realized that part about the three White guys had been a dream. Then, I realized the reason I had no pillows or sheets on my bed, was because I fell asleep while meditating. Then, waitaminute! My sister lived in a different house now, and there was no four foot shrine in my bedroom. It had all been a dream. The nutmeg induced lucid dreaming, and in the last dream, I realized I was being affected by nutmeg, but I did not realized I was dreaming. I don't exactly know what you call that! I don't think there's a name for it. I looked in the bathroom mirror, and I said, "Ok, this is reality." I went back to bed, and I noticed the shadows of the jalousies on my curtains reminded of tiger stripes. I put a little pinch of nutmeg under my tongue, and I tried to lucid dream again, but I simply slept soundly through the night, and woke up at a normal time with no side effects.

Nutmeg? Blech! That stuff will give you the worst hangover known to man!
You were in my dreams Friday night, but I gave up on trying to get through to you. You seemed too out of it. Now I know why. Who does nutmeg? lol

Thank you, you just proved to me after reading your latest entry that i can have good recall and still smoke pot
I used to have really good recall, around a year or so ago but stopped recording dreams and got lazy with it. Anyways iv been a little worried over what people have said on other threads but I'm thinking that's just propaganda from the uninformed. |

yes. I already do that, when I make notes about the highlights of my dreams. But, writing as detailed as I can is best.

these are really just dream notes:
-I was in a spaceport. It was huge. I felt lost. There were big plastic tubes going between the buildings. -I was in a library talking with my aunt and Raven about dreams. (I have an aunt who keeps dreaming about me, and wonders why. HAHA) This hot girl I am attracted to was in my dream. She has a red mohawk. ![]() - I was hanging out with Bette Midler in a mall. We walk into a jewelry shop. She shows off and does the splits. Bodyguards appear, and a bunch of random men take pictures. I think about how sexy she is.

I was with beachgirl. We were merpeople underwater. We explored the ocean together, holding hands as we swam.

Ancient Dream
June 11, 2008, 10:23 AM
“It burns, it hurts, but it doesn’t really hurt me.” I awoke quite a few hours ago. I do not recall most of my dream, I wish I did. Since I did not have access to this laptop, I wish I wrote it down. I was being given a tour of a steel factory by a woman that worked there. The place was very noisy. She was wearing black coveralls, a welder‘s mask in the up position, steel toe boots, and everything else on her was silver. Silver belt buckle, silver zippers on her clothes, and there was some other elements of silver on her that I can’t completely recall. She had a large pair of blacksmith’s tongs which she sometimes playfully carried and gestured with, and sometimes dropped in a pocket. I could tell she loved the noise, the controlled chaos, and the sense of danger and the creation of the strong alloy. She walked ahead of me, a little quicker than I wanted to go with a slight bounce to her step. I wanted to take in all the sights, and she was excited to show everything to me. She was passionate about her work, and walked with the familiarity of a sailor walking about his ship, and the exuberance of a child playing in their favorite world. She had long black hair done up in a ponytail, dark skin, and dark eyes. As she spoke to me, she would turn back to me occasionally her white smile flashing in the orange glow of molten steel. I was fascinated by her, and her reckless abandonment of societal gender norms for her passion for creating steel. As the tour continued, she repeatedly got close to the molten steel, doing things which scared me. Putting her face or hand near it, or playfully dipping her tongs in it. I tried to understand what she was saying about the processes of purification and amalgamation, but I was not very interested in steelmaking. I enjoyed the thunderous energy of the place, and the hellish ambience. I remember a machine in the shape of a large cylinder to the left of the path, almost looking like a small black submarine with windows on it. Inside of it was molten steel bubbling about. She told me it was some type of purification chamber. We continued on the tour, and walked up a small metal staircase. In front of us was a large vat of molten steel. She made some remark about, “it burns, it hurts, but I love it. It won’t really hurt me.” Then, she jumped in, and begun swimming across to the other side, as if it was a backyard pool. At this point, I was overwhelmed with fear, then amazement and shock, that I woke up. *** On Monday night, I went to see fire dancers that spin fire at a park nearby every week. I have taken a slight interest in one of the women that spins fire there. Now I realize that the character in the dream was inspired by her. She is four years older than me, and a philosophy major in college, both significant. I have always dated women younger than me. My (ex)wife is ten years younger than me. Also, I have never been with a woman actively pursuing her education, or even a career for that matter. Ambition in a woman has intimidated me in the past, though always fascinated me. Do I still get intimidated? Yes, I do. Not to the point where I reject them, but I do still keep a distance. Being an insecure person, I wanted security. I hoped a woman with no ambition would want to stay with me, would not leave me because she had nothing to take her away from me. I was wrong. A boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse may leave for a variety of reasons, some reason may even be unknown to the person leaving. Also, the book I have been reading, The Dark Night of the Soul is replete with the symbolism of Greek mythology. This dark figure in my dream also feels like Hekate, the goddess of the night, or Persephone, the dark Queen of the Underworld. I hope next similar dream, I can become lucid, then jump into the molten steel, or headlong into whatever dream-danger is in front of me. I am walking through the underworld. I am fascinated by the place, and feel relatively safe, but there is danger all around me, but only a perceived ethereal peril. I am being guided by one who is familiar with and unafraid in the underground realm of darkness, fire being the only light. This time in my life is very dark, yet exciting and wondrous. I miss my (ex)wife, but I refuse to be a controlling masochist any longer. I am trying to allow the natural course of life to flow and blow through me, instead of clinging to a marriage that simply does not exist. But, I still love her, I still want to be with her. I don’t want to let go, but I have to.

Fragment:
I was floating on clouds in the sky. I saw a flying snake with a big grin on his face. R. (not Raven) was on a cloud. She waved at me. The ogre appeared and pulled her out of my dream. ) :

I was hiding in a hollow in a tunnel. I was a little white rabbit. I knew she was going to walk past me soon. I heard her footsteps. A girl that looked like Little Red Riding Hood, but all in white, walked by me. I stifled a giggle. She started floating forward, as if she was falling, then she started walking on the wall of the cave, then the floor. I thought this was terribly funny. I covered my mouth with my paw and tried not to giggle. She climbed out of the cave, and started walking on the surface of a cliff, which became the ground.
I followed her very quietly right behind her. I almost jumped into her heel. When she got on to the ground, she turned into Alice. "Hullo?" she said. "What do we have here?" She looked around at the sky. Animal shaped clouds were floating by. A winged hippo cloud flew by and grinned at her. I popped my head out. "Heeheehee. Hi!" I said. "Well, you are you?" I couldn't remember. I shrugged my shoulders. "Christopher Ro-o-o-bin!" I said. "Well, you silly rabbit! That's not your name, and it's not my name either!" "Let's have some Candyland!" I said. I offered her a chocolate covered lollipop. I gave it to her, and it turned into a flower. The flower said, "Hello, Alice!" "Oh! How very strange!" she said. I multiplied all the holes, and dozens of rabbits hopped out, other multiples of me. We laughed and hopped about randomly. "Oh, you silly bunnies! How do I get back home?" "Follow the rabbit to the wizard!" I said. "What do you mean?" "I don't know!" I giggled. She crawled back in the hole. "No, you can't go that way!" She came back out. She tapped her foot. "Then what?" I shrugged. She stuck her tongue out at me, then disappeared. "Darn!" I said. "I lost my playmate." I grew wings and flew away.

Neverwonderland!
I was a white rabbit with a long tail like a dog, and wings. I was hiding in a cave waiting for Alice to show up. "Oh, hello, you naughty bunny!" I heard a girl's voice say. It was Wendy. She grabbed my tail. "Hee hee hee!" I laughed. I flew out of the side of the cave, which was the side of a cliff that became the ground. I flew up toward the sky. "Oh my!" said Wendy. "Oh my indeed, Alice!" I said. "Hey, that's not my name!" said the girl. "My name is-" "Hello, Wendy!" said a little rainbow fairy changing colors, with a big grin on her face. "Hello, Pixy," she said. "I'm Raven Knight." "Of course you are, Wendy," she said. "Oh, am I? Hmm... can I have some pixie dust so I can fly?" "Well, you don't need it, but here you go!" Pixy sprinkled pixie dust on Raven Knight, and she grew angel wings. "Yaay! I can fly!" she said. "Of course, we all can!" I said. I turned into a pink winged bunny with a fluffy tail. "Follow me!" "Where are we going?" "First start to the left, then straight on til morning!" "And where is that?" "Neverwonderland!" A winged snake flew by, grinning at us. "Who is that?" said Wendy. "That's Bagheera!" I said. "No, that's not right... mush... mushy... MoSh? What's a MoSh? I don't know. Something about rock and roll." "What is that?" said Raven. "I used to know, but, hmm.. I forgot," I said. "Yeah, that remind me of Metallica, but I don't remember what that is." "Oh well!" I said. I turned into Peter Pan, and we flew toward a small volcanic island, with a huge volcano in the center. "Yaay! Let's go down the mudslide!" I said. "Eyew yuck!" said Pixy. "Oh, yum!" said Raven. "Yum, indeed! The mountain is chocolate!" I laughed. We flew to the top of the mountain, and Raven turned into Little White Riding Hood. I changed into a wolf. "Hey stop that!" she said. "Ok," I said and changed back in Peter Pan. She sat down on a small rug at the top of the mud slide, and I sat down behind her. "Go Wendy!" I said. "Huh?" she asked, changing back into Wendy. I laughed. "Just go!" I said. Pixy pushed us, and we slid down the mud slide. Pixy flew near us as we slid down. Mud splashed on us. I scooped some off the side, and splattered it on Wendy's face. "Hey!" she said. "Stop that!" "It's chocolate!" I laughed. She scooped it off, and ate it. "Mm! It is!" "I know! I made it," I laughed. I flicked a piece of chocolate at Pixy. "Hey you!" she said, and pointed he wand at me. She made rainbow sparkles stick to my face. Wendy turned and looked at me. She licked my cheek. "Hey, yuck! Stop that!" "Yum! Taste like sparkly rainbows," she said. "What are you, a dog?" We got to the bottom, and landed in a pool of water. "Sometimes," said Raven. She changed into a cute brown dog, and paddled around in the water. There was a pirate ship floating in the water. "Who's ship is that? Captain Hook?" "Yeah," I said, "but he's a pushover. He's a DC I made just for training." "Oh, I have DC's like that," said Raven. Captain Hook appeared at the side of the ship. "Peter Pan?!" he shouted angrily. "Tick tock, tick tock!" I taunted. "Oh, don't remind me, you insolent child!" I laughed and splashed water at him. His face and hair got all wet. He left in a huff. "Let's go underwater!" I said. "Ok!" Raven and Pixy said. I turned into a crocodile, Raven turned into a porpoise, and Pixy changed into a mermaid. We swam out of the lagoon, into the ocean under a stone arch. Three mermaids swam to us, one with green hair, one with purple, and one with orange. "Hello, Peter!" they said melodically. "I am not Peter Pan! I am TickTock, and I am going to eat you up!" I said. "Oh, no!" they said, playing along, and swam away. They blew kisses at me, which floated through the water, and stuck to my face. "Eyew! Yuck!" I said, wiping the kisses off. "Am I your favorite mermaid?" Pixy said, kissing my nose. I changed back into Peter Pan, and blushed. "Hello Peter Nomad!" said a shark man swimming up to us. He had a huge smile on his face. "I am Shark!" "Shark!" I said. "I remember you!" "Well, of course you do! Come to my temple!" We followed Shark to a large underwater temple. There was a huge statue of him there. "Um, this is kind of boring," I said. "That's not very nice!" he pouted. "Well, watch this!" He snapped his fingers, and sunglasses appeared on his face, a top hat, a cane, and a small dinner jacket. He grinned. He snapped his fingers again. A huge cast of undersea cartoon characters appeared, and broke into a song and dance number, Arabian Nights, from Alladin. "That doesn't make any sense!" I started laughing. "But, was it boring?" "Oh, that was magnificent," said Raven. "Thank you, Mr. Shark." "You can just call me Mano," he said, and kissed Raven's hand. "Thank you, Mano," she blushed. I giggled, and Pixy kissed me on the mouth. I closed my eyes for a second, then opened them, surprised at being kissed. Mano and Raven laughed at me, then I swam under a rock and turned into a snail. Raven swam to me. "Hey, you, don't be embarrassed. I'm sorry, little snail." She put her hand out. "Here take my hand, Nomad," she said. "No! You are just going to laugh at me!" Pixy turned into a fairy again, and grabbed one of my eyestalks. "Hey, stoppit! Stoppit!" "Nomad, stop being silly! You know you like to kiss me!" "Girls are gross! Go away!" I said. She yanked me out from under the rock. "Don't you remember?" Pixy said. She changed into her Pixy self. I changed into my Nomad self. She kissed me again. I took her in my arms, and held her close, kissing her passionately. Raven and Mano clapped. I looked into her eyes. I saw the night sky in her pupils like two galaxies. "We have been together since the beginning of time," she said softly. "Please don't ever forget," she said as a tear rolled down her cheek. "I love you." I kissed her again, and forgot about everything else, except for how real she felt.

Android Spidermen
My cousin D, and I were android spidermen with the alien symbiote costume. We were webslinging through a bombed out city. "We are The Spidermen!" I said. "And we will rule the Night!" he said. "Yes, my brother. Ah look, below, enemies!" There was Scorpion and Rhino in the street below. There were throwing cars and fire hydrants at people. Rhino was charging into crowds of people, and busting through doors. We landed on the ground in front of them. "Hello, enemies. Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" "That line is so cheesy!" said Rhino as I shot web into his face. "Yes, cheesy enough to induce a retort while shoot you in the fucking face with my web, dumbass!" He roared, and tried to get the web off of his face. "No fingers, idiot," I said laughing. D shot his web at Scorpion's tail. "You fool!" he said. "Do you think that is the only source of my power?" Scorpion shot poison from his hands at D. He created a web shield, and blocked the poison, yawning. "How dare you yawn at me!" he said. I swung Rhino over my head, and slammed him on the ground, then back the other way. "Good idea," D said. he did the same thing to Scorpion. Scorpion hissed like a snake, and shot poison again at D. D made a web umbrella, and said, "Oh, it's drizzling out." He slammed Scorpion into the ground. "I have had enough of your hunnabuddas!" he said, and shot webs over Scorpion's hands. We slammed them back and forth, BOOM BOOM BOOM! Then, we swung them in a circle, and tossed them into a large Selene portal in the sky. We laughed like cheesy cartoon characters at the end of an episode. My dog Jo, ran to us, and barked at the villains. We laughed again. We webslung through the city, and came to a thatched roof village on the edge of the city. Orcs riding on wolves ran into the village, and the people went running. We shot two of them with webs, covering their steeds also. "Ah! The Demons!" they shouted. They threw ropes around the ones in the webs, and dragged them away. We turned into android Venom's and our tongues lashed out at the orcs. "You look delicious!" I said. "I want your blood!" we both said. The orcs screamed and ran away, dragging their friends with them. The people came out and stared at us. We grinned at them, showing our many pointed teeth. Some people laughed, and some fainted. Dark angry industrial music like Ministry played. "We are the Guardians of the Night!" we shouted. We melted into the ground, laughing maniacally.

Chaos and Dust, Gears Dream
D and I were in a Gears of War world. He was a super soldier, genetically engineered to kick ass and take names. I was a cyborg, enhanced for pain. We were charging straight through concrete walls, BOOM BOOM BOOM! "We must hurry, my brother!" he shouted through the chaos and dust. "Yes, for the child!" I shouted back. We came to a room, with my cousin Em sitting on the floor amongst rubble, crying. My cousin Ci, was wearing a short brown robe, white pants, and brown boots. She pulled back her hood. "You have created an escape path. Let's go," she said solemnly. D picked up Em, and put her over his shoulder. Ci got on a hoverbike and revved it. We ran back through the holes we had punched. A demon driving a spiderbot chased us, smashing through the holes we had created. "Don't look back," said Ci grimly. "Keep going!" "Come here, my children," laughed the demon. "Oh, how I do love to feed upon your dreams!" We ran through the last wall. D turned around, and threw a sticky mine at the spiderbot, and it stuck to its body. "Hey, fuck you," said D. He leapt forward, as Ci and I boosted. D detonated the mine, and the spiderbot blew to pieces. We went up a grassy hill, and looked over the city. "The city is rigged for detonation," Ci said. "Scanning," I said. I shot tiny drones, the size of peas, out of my fingertips, and they flew into the city. I changed my vision to see through walls. I saw a bunch of demons shapes milling about. "Drone scan, negative. Heat vision, negative. No friendlies in the detonation zone." "Die, you bastards," said Ci quietly. She pushed a button on a remote in her hand. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! A circle of bombs went off from the outside, moving inward in concentric circles. I turned on my energy shield, and kneeled down, protecting us from the blast and dust. A wave of concrete dust blew over us. "It is finished," said Ci. D set Em on the ground, and she hugged him as he knelt there.

I tried this timer deal. It actually decreased lucidity, but in increased how many NLD's I was aware of. But, i didn't want to write any down, because I was too sleepy. It made me realize how many NLD's I have that I don't remember.
I think it decreased lucidity because during my long epic lucid dreams I am in a non-REM deep sleep, and the timer didn't allow that to happen. Frags: airport hotel some chick in black on top of me...
