Question Interesting first Lucid experience + Questions

agI recently joined into the world of lucid dreaming and have done some pretty well research on induction methods and dream controls like stabilization and summoning DCs. A few nights ago I was having some pretty bad sleep. Waking up and going back to sleep again over and over in like hour intervals. I don't necessarily have a structured sleep pattern. So finally I relaxed more and really fell into my bed. I awoke in the night to a sensation of being paralyzed. I already knew about sleep paralysis and was not very scared so no monsters or shadow demons. I could feel myself lying sideways on the bed motionless. Then I had this feeling of seeing my body externally like viewing myself from above the bed almost floating like. From there I felt slight vibrations waves going through my body. I fell asleep again. It seemed like a false awakening now that when I woke up again I woke up in a dream. Standing up in a room, but not really a room. It was was about the size of a rectangle living room, but it was just a platform of light colored wood. Only one wall held up the structure of the room and that was to my right when I awoke in the dream. I instantly said out loud "Wow I'm dreaming" I must have not been thinking I did not do any RC's from what I remember or any try to use senses. I looked to my right and saw a blue gas canister. Didn't think much of it. I looked to my left and was automatically creeped out. I was on a floating platform with one wall super high in the sky. I saw the sun yellow as always, but the clouds were slightly darkish like dark grey to black and gloomy. I thought about how they should be and blinked. When I looked back they looked normally except for the bottom of the clouds. They were still a creepy dark purplish-blue. I tried moving around now. I kept staring to my left while about to walk forward. Then I saw blurred swirling transparent mountains or earth like forms shaping from the gaping empty wall on the platform. They overwhelmed me and I became confused and afraid of how unfamiliar it seemed. I tried to push that away and walk forward. I willed myself and found I had stopped suddenly when the flooring in front of me began to fade away. I knew if i kept walking I would fall. I dropped to my knees staring over the edge holding the ledge, and then I woke up.

I would like to know what this could have been from and what could I have done to make the dream better in terms of less confusion more control of my sorroundings and also I'm 13 and the dream was extremely HD equal to or better than when I wear my glasses in waking life. So yeah any feedback would be appreciated and as much as possible thanks. One last thing the sun and details of the room were extremely vivid. More than real life.

Also one more thing I almost forgot. In the LD after the gas canister and before the shifting holographic mountains I tried to shoot a lightining bolt from my hand and it did not work. At all. I guess I did not visualize it enough.

Congrats, sounded fun! I think you just have to realize that dreams are just super vivid and stable imagination worlds, so you really can do just about anything. If something you don't like is happening, just make it go away, you have the absolute power to do that

Edit: Also as soon as you get in the dream, make sure to activate all your senses to stabilize the dream world. Yell, touch things, summon an apple pie and smell it, etc.

      Congratulations on the lucid!

That was actually a really good first-time experience. Lots of people wake up almost immediately, but you stayed in there a while and even employed some dream control. Very nice!

Just keep going like that and you will get better and better every time. In preparation for your next experience, take some time out to really consider the nature of your dreams. Everything you experience was created by your own mind, and as such, you have absolutely nothing to fear. The reason you woke up was because you got scared. That's perfectly normal of course, and it will take some time to wrap your head around the fact that nothing can harm you. For instance, did you consider that you can fly in your dreams? The worst that could happen if you fell from that ledge would be waking up (which you did anyway), so why not just take off and fly?

Also, the advice that clearthoughter gave you is really good. Use all your senses to experience the dream world. That will make it a lot more stable and less confusing. But you did get to experience dream HD! Isn't it great?

      Happy dreaming!
