I need advice, literal butterfly effect in dreams

      just woke up......

      kinda horrible

im living a true butterfly effect in my dreams, ill do my best to describe it

there was about 7 scenarious, very disturbed sleep pattern, woke about 4-5 times during 9 hours of sleep

had this same dream before but didnt return to the past to change things i dont think last time, did have this dream recent ish and

starts off in this location, i think its the first chronologically, family and me are on a beach, have essays due in,(this was a while ago i think and im not sure how it relates), i remember this dream and what i did last time and i liked the result i think so i try and do the same, (jumping on the side of the cliff somehow cant remember what into but like a village thing),

This leads to the next part kinda like a hotel thing, everyone turns into zombie's, i manage to escape with my dad, remember having a sword too, we smash the windows of one place and i hang on the outside to avoid the zombie's reaching me, this then leads to me flying (quite a poor flying, i could control it but my "boosters"(or whatever was letting me do it) weren't the best and i could go very high/keep it up for long, ended up in a warehouse which i think i had gone in there for some reason(people trying to grab me where in there, my wonky flying skills manage to avoid them by a few inches)

now the problem is this is what i remember from the most recent one(just woke up) but i remember definitely(maybe not tonight, could certainly have been though? could have been yesterday) these are the same dreams i have, and i went to each of those parts described above but did it in different ways(my main problem was without doing things i could not advance if that makes sense) and it took me to different places, unfortunately my memory has already started to go immensly and so i will stop here, but i do remember going to the first scenario about 6 times,(i managed to change it when i was already there and "reset it" if that makes sense) and a few of the others at least twice or 3 times

swim would like to point out swim's pet elephant had maybe some intense CEV 3 days ago, very intresting.....

sorry if this doesnt even make sense, trying to write down what was in my head has made me feel alot better

erm if anyone can make heads or tails of this a comment would be appreciated doesnt matter what you say

thanks for taking the time to read!

ps.i would say the dream was incredibly lucid to the point i thought it was real life and so changing the things that were wrong and not how it should be were of great importance, and i could go as far to say that i could realise a few times i was dreaming but maybe instead of waking up, i went to a different scenario.

Lucid doesn't really mean "aware" like it does normally. It means aware that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. What exactly is the question? I can't make sense of a lot of your writing.

I took the part with parentheses out to try and understand this better, but I am getting nothing. It seems like the dream is just resetting and you start over. You try and get to the end like you did the first time, but you keep making the wrong choices? This is pretty common for dreams. I used to have dreams that I would do everything perfectly and then get more aware and have to do everything perfectly from memory. It would normally end with me staring at a crossroads ttrying to decide which way to go.

Sorry if it doesnt make sense, the question is literally "what the hell", what is making me dream like this?

my problem is that it was utterly horrible and i had no control over which bit i went to, just that i had been there before and now im back and have to change something to how it was last time(i went back once and messed it up)

by the part you quoted that first scene i think was the "furthest" back i could go before setting off the chain of other scenario's...and i went to that scenario a good 6 times. I felt it was so real but knew i was dreaming but didnt care it felt real everything mattered and i had changed my life by going back and i felt hopeless trying to restore it to its normal

      - I do not remember there being a path to choose or an end, it was continuous and i do remember trying to make myself go back and it worked at least a few times but not immeaditely
