      Keep Waking Up Immediately

So I have had 10 lucid dreams, averaging about 2 per week, and I am improving a lot. But in all but 1 of them I have woken up within 1-2 seconds of becoming lucid. I would like to clarify now that I am NOT getting too excited and then waking up. Every time I get lucid, I am pleased but not really excited but wake up. Worse yet, it happens so fast that I do not have a chance to perform any stabilization techniques. These are all SSILD DILDs by the way. Any advice on what I can do? Thanks!

This may or may not be the problem, but you might be thinking too much about your real life body. When you're lucid, do you think about the fact that you're actually sleeping in your bed? If so, you should get that off your mind immediately upon lucidity and think about the things you can feel in the dream. More information on this thread. If it is not your problem, disregard this post and the link.

Be patient and don't worry, I had this until I reached 30 lucid dreams. I'm now at 36 and only now they are getting longer each time.

But, waking up is not the end! It is the perfect time to try DEILD. Some tutorials:

It's tricky. On one hand you DO want to recall that all you see is your own creation, since that's a sure path to real control (building access to memory that is). At the same time you don't want to take it to far, to fast, because that will for sure wake you up.

Yeah, DEILD never worked for me. Tried it for about 1 month, so maybe around 60-70 DEILD attempts. Every time what happens is I wake up from my dream, don't move AT ALL, the visualize my dream in as much detail as possible, and that's it. Nothing. SSILD seems to be doing very good for me. On weekdays I only have like 5 hours of time to sleep, but on weekends I always LD.
