What if you kill your dream guide?

What happens if during one of your all encompassing rampages of the dream world you accidentally shred your dream guide to pieces with a .50 cal?

can they come back to life

I personally think they get back to life. I don't know much about Dream Guides but here's how i think it might be.
1st- Dream Guide is in your head, creation of your mind so you can't kill it.
or, 2nd- Dream Guide is some kind of a spirit or a supernatural being so you still can't kill it.

They would have to be living in the first place in order to die.

nothing really dies in your dream, if you want something to get back up you simply say "get up" if you want it dead its dead if you want it to live agian it lives agian. best thing about dreaming, total control over everything.

That's a silly question ("Can they come back to life?"). Ailos is right, dream guides, whatever you belief of them are, clearly live in your head. Now it's a bit off to think that killing something in your dreams through "physical" means would suddenly wash them from your brain forever.

      Your dream guide is fine.

I don't know? Shredding someone to pieces with a gun. It must have taken more than one shot! Hence it doesn't sound like an accident to me.

But I'm sure that they would come back.

I guess it depends on how you looked at your dream guide, if they were just some person you went to when you were bored, then they probably would just disappear.

Anyway, kind of off topic, but this thread really got me thinking on the lines of "making something from nothing", it's all just inside your head, vast landscapes that you are conscious in, just inside your head, in space thats clearly not there to begin with. Crazy, huh?

Without trampling people's beliefs here, you seem to believe that dream guides are all in the mind (as do I). They will come back if you believe they will come back, and stay dead if you expect them to stay dead.

I'm not sure what a dream guide is. I would imagine though that they are as impervious to damage as you are..

Lol shredded it with a .50, well jeez (psycho) must have shot it like a billion times.

Anyway, if you believe they are just in your head then you can bring them back obviously. But by the sounds of it you think they are a 'supernatural' or actual living thing. If you believe this then it won't come back alive because you won't believe it can, unless of course you believe that dream guides are immortal, then it will be able to come back.

      Hope that made sense.

And dream guides are important I think. The first time I met mine was just out of the blue and it was the most insightful dream I've had. It's in my DJ if anyone cares.

i think's because it's a more physical way of talking to your own subconcious so it's easier to know what you're doing

      if that made any sense

the majority of the people who replied to this post seem to agree on one thing.. That your DG is just "In your mind" and nothing more..

and Hercuflea I was the one who made that tutorial "Finding Your Dreamguide" I hope you enjoyed it..

But you probably would have already guessed I'd put my 2 cents in... Nothing negative.. Just something to think about...

Can you really prove, that your DG is just a part of your "Imagination"? .... no....

Can you really prove, that it isn't... If we are speaking logically.... no....

I only know by my personal experiences the enormous energy my DG gave me after every dream I had when she was in it.. It felt like my body was pulsating full of energy and I could feel this electrical surge go up and down my body, all the way from my head, to my toes, and back again... My hairs would stand up as well on my entire body.. This only happened in dreams where she was in them....

So not being able to prove either case.. In the end... It still leaves the possibility of your Dream guide being something more, then just your imagination.....

      thanks

well most of us really do believe that DGs are just in your minds, but just because you're dream guide is only in your mind doesn't mean that he/she isn't as real as anyone you know in waking life.

it's just a different kind of real

Yeh it makes sense, I was going to say this as well. That DG's could pretty much just be the essence of your subconscious; maybe your deepest subconscious, taking the form of an object or 'animal' (including people etc.)

Very true, I mean, there is no doubt they are a real experience, but as for being physical or 'natural'; as in anything that is real, I don't believe this. Which is why I agree with your first statement. That they are a way to communicate with our subconscious more easily than.... well I don't know any other ways. For example when people take DMT; considered the most powerful hallucinogenic there is, they see a god like figure, which is, I believe, their subconscious taking a form. Because if there were no tangible form to communicate with, how else would you do it?

I know a very good way for you skeptics out there about Angels,Dream Guides and stuff.

I recommend the work of Shalila Sharamon - Chakra Meditation(google it).

You will experience alot of things with these chakras journeys and believe me your life will never be the same again.

Dream guides are apart of your imaginatio?Well yes and no...yes because the only way to communicate with your spirit self(if you are not a medium and have psychic habilities) the only way to communicate with a normal person is trough dreams or LD in this case, and No they are Spiritual Beings...but this is another topic for another discussion.

I didnt want to offend nobody beliefs i was djust stating my own experiences and what i discover in those journeys..for the more skeptics check that product out and start do some Chakra work and your reality will shake alot.

      Best regards

Is your dream guide the same as your spirit guide?

I hope the bad characters don't come back after death, else I'd be having horrible nightmares for the rest of my life.
I dont have a dream guide, but when my re-occuring characters die they don't come back, it's sad when I make a strong dream relationship with them.

Try it. I bet it has a lot to do with your expectation. If you think your DG is unkillable, they probably will not die. If you think they are a real person, they might be dead forever.

I know I'm a real person. I know I've died many times in my dreams. I don't see why killing a DG would be any different from killing myself. Either they are a construct of my own mind, and therefore indestructable, or they are a real person like me, and therefore indestructable.
