      Taste

Last night I had a dream that i was "eating" something . And it tasted like salt. When I woke up I really had a salt taste in my mouth.
      Dreaming really is great!

I've experienced alot of different tastes in my dreams. Actually, eating in dreams is better than eating in real life, the taste is just as you wish it, and you can eat as much as you like, you'll never be satisfied if youi dont want to!
      Cipreses, agua estancada
      Chopos, agua cristalina
      Mimbre, agua profunda
      Corazon, agua de pupila

Pengwin got it right. Our dreams can be effected by stimulus that our bodies recieve while we are sleeping. You hear a noise in your room while you are asleep, and in reality it is a door closing, but your body inserts that stimulus into your dream, and in most cases gets it wrong. Visual and auditory stimulus received while sleeping are usually misinterpreted. Taste and smell share a much stronger tie to memory, and are usually more accurately translated and trasferred into a dream. Maybe you licked your lips while asleep and had a salty trigger, or could have been your eyes watered and you tasted a tear, and that triggered your eating the salty object in your dream. All fun theories, and good ways to trigger specific dream meals.

That theory is easy to prove/disprove ... simply make sure you eat, eg. a toffee in your next dream. Followed by an anchovy
If that works well, then the theory is false. Otherwise its true

Your senses of thing in the room do fall into your dreams though, thats definitely true

Yeah, its harder to play with in a real life setting, but it has been proven in sleep studies. I cant remember what university did it, but they had some subjects fall asleep, and when they went into REMM, they dropped a flavor in their mouth and questioned them afterwards to see what they dreamt about. A majority of them had dreams related to that flavor......
