Interpret my dream involving my gums and being tricked that it's real life. It's easy to read

All right, so just a few hours ago I had the following dream, and this is what I remember of it:

... I'm walking around a city casually late at night. I'm on the sidewalk and I see a group of men coming towards me, so I step off the sidewalk to avoid getting too close to them. I fear being mugged. I then am greeted by an old friend, Chris, who I talk to for a bit and then we say our good byes.

Next I am introduced to this beautiful girl by someone I cannot remember, and we instantly are attracted to each other. We make out, but within a few minutes we stop because she has to leave. After she leaves, I've realized I left six twenty dollar bills laying somewhere randomly in public, so I head off to grab them. I'm almost sure that my money will have been stolen, but I decide to check anyways.

Yet while I'm on my way to grab the money, I run into another friend who is disappointed that I hooked up with that girl. He knows I've been frequently hooking up with this one girl at the moment (which is true in real life), and says that I've cheated. I do not feel guilty however, because the girl I'm with right now in real life is just my casual partner. The relationship is for pleasure only. So I say goodbye to my friend, and once again continue on to find the money.

I spot the six twenty dollar bills beside a movie ticket booth and grab them. A note was nearby the money, informing people to no longer leave their money here. I'm happy. None of my money is missing, surprisingly. It's fairly crisp and in great condition too. So now I decide I really need to leave this city as it's still late at night and kind of sketchy. I end up meeting two more friends, and I ride with them to the gym.

While I'm in the parking lot walking to the gym, my top gums all of a sudden become really swollen. My gums were so swollen in fact, that I must have looked like I had a fair amount of gauze underneath my top lips. It had to be physically noticeable on the outside. It's not too painful, though, so I ignore it temporarily.

Once in the gym, I can no longer ignore my swollen gums so I enter a room and locate a mirror. To my shock and horror, there is literally a hole the width of a dime and of a depth unknown in my swollen gums. To imagine the depth with me, consider looking into a watering well midday, and just seeing a deep, black abyss. That's what the hole in my gums appeared to be like in the mirror.

It is important to note though that during this dream, I was not thinking of my teeth at all. I would also like to point out that I take great oral care of my mouth and have never had a cavity, let alone gingivitis or something similar. I do not believe this hole or the swelling of my gums signifies that I'm uncomfortable with my appearance. I have better things to worry about at the moment.

After seeing this horrendous site (I can still clearly see this image in my mind), I remain calm and find my friends in the gym. I tell them phlegmatically that I need to go to the emergency room now. For some reason I have come to the conclusion that a bug must have buried itself in my gums and caused this hole. Obviously I'm thinking I need to go to the emergency room to avoid infection and prevent any further damage. I maintain composure though.

There's probably five of my friends here at the gym, and they all get up promptly to take me to the emergency room. We get into an old acquaintance's car, but he ends up getting out of the driver's seat and walking away. We aren't friends so I assume he thinks my friends have it under control. So another friend gets in the driver's seat and drives his car.

Now while we are on the way, I ask my friends, but really just myself, "Guys, am I dreaming?"

This is because I always ask myself this question in real life when something odd is occurring, so I can realize if I am in a dream and become lucid. A tactic you members I would assume are of course well of aware.

      ... A few seconds pass...

My friends sarcastically reply with smirks on their face, "Well, are you dreaming?"

I have never received such a response from dream characters before, so I respond shyly, "I guess not...."

So I assume I'm in real life for the moment, that this is not a dream. But then something odd happens again. My gums deflate themselves and are no longer swollen. Yet because of the severity of the swelling, my gums are now basically hanging out of my mouth. Onlookers would probably think I'm sticking out a huge chunk of bubble gum from my mouth, but it's my collapsed gums that are still attached to my upper mouth.

Once this happens, I'm in too much confusion to believe this is not a dream. I'm in too much shock that this is real. And I am completely thrown off by my friends' responses to my, "Is this a dream?" question. Fortunately, I finally wake up from this bizarre dream and never have to enter the emergency room. Who knows how frightening that experience might've been.

I would appreciate any interpretations you have of this dream. Thank you so much for reading this lengthy story. Best wishes.
