Thread: Strange dream.

Ok so last night I had this very strange dream...so I thought I'd come here and share it with you to see what you think.

Ok, the dream is set in the future and there is a war between terminator like machines and human resistance fighters of which I am a bit of a hero in my dream as a resistance fighter. The resistance manufactures our own machines that are programmed to be friendly...but for some reason to make a really powerful machine we need fine malt whisky.

So the start of my dream I am raiding a bunker for a bottle of fine malt and I aquire it....I felt like a guerrilla...doing a quick attack then retreating....feeling in quite a desperate situation against an unstoppable foe.

Then I am with some other fighters in a lab and I meet the new machine that is to help us but I feel distrust for him.

Then its just me standing on a wall with more walls gradually stepping down into the sea. I can see only sea in front of me...it is light blue and the sky is clear and sunny. behind me there is a tall white cliff...like the white cliffs of dover. To the right of me about 20 yards away there is an opening in the cliff with what looks like a dried out man made opening for water to come through. I am standing thinking...I need to get back to the fight...but I am worried as the sea comes in and out and i need to time it right to go down a few steps and across to the opening. I was safe where I was but I needed to go.

When I got to the opening the drain had this sludge on the bottom of it but i followed through and came to a seemingly deserted town...but it was better than the loneliness of the sea wall because there was buildings at least. Then a resistance fighter appeared and said that the machines were on the offensive in my home town. So I took a car...with a fantasy family (I am single and I don't have any kids in real life). My wife was in the passenger seat and three kids in the back. I travel to my home town.

When I get to the street in front of my house several machines turn up on chopper style motorbikes..they look a bit like hells angels. I use a shotgun to blow their tyres and to shoot some of them but its no use there are too many so we ditch the car further down the street and enter the school.

We enter a room and it looks like the machines are going to get me and my family. Then a device is thrown into the room (or from the ceiling) that is like a device that blows all electronic equipment. i look at the machines and feel relief then I look at my family and they are the same...I am confused. Then I look at the ceiling I see a leader of the resistance lieing on a trolley looking down at me as if the ceiling had gravity. She explains to me that my family died long ago....but they knew that for me to keep fighting hard I had to have my family to protect so they made machines to pretend to be my family so I could still be a hero for the resistance.

Then I woke up...any ideas? In all my dreams i seem to be in a struggle of some sort.
