need help to interpret my insect dream

i believe i remember around 80% of my dream, it first consist of a slightly oversize yellow butterfly that fly around the living room, my family was astonished to see it. Suddenly it was a next scene, a purple snake drop into my shirt, i was horrified and i took the snake out and throw it to the ground. i believe this is the weirdest dream i ever dreamed.

Anyone know what does the dream means, advice appreciated.
      pardon my English haha

The butterfly represents an emotional aspect of your own nature and might reflect the idea of having gone through a transformation that would affect your way of living. The butterfly can relate with feelings of being or having become, very social – as in “the social butterfly”. Here the importance of the feeling has been somewhat exaggerated. (slightly oversize butterfly) The feeling of being more socially active appears in your mind as an intelligent idea (yellow) but it can also simply reflect human rationalization. Seeing the butterfly in the living room implies that you are seeing a feeling regarding a lot of social activity in the context of it belonging to point of view that contains “living beliefs”, i.e. beliefs that will add to your quota of life or extend your life. From the perspective of your basic psychological make-up, you could be somewhat astonished at this transformation. (my family was astonished to see it)

The snake is another emotional aspect of yourself and can represent a feeling of wisdom which is here seen as having some quality to it. (purple snake) [In this scene the wisdom might pertain to the idea of becoming more social.] This wisdom is, however, unprincipled wisdom – wisdom not given by God. (Note the snake has no legs to stand on.) When this form of wisdom is applied to your higher Self functions or behaviour (snake drop into my shirt), the wisdom seems horrifying to the True Self and you should quickly throw this wisdom away from you. (took the snake out and throw it to the ground) – put some distance between you and this wisdom. By letting the snake fall to the ground, it is indicated that there is a failing in this particular wisdom. [When a feeling relates to an idea that does not suit your own nature, the idea will not allow you to become your real Self.]

However, please keep in mind that while ElizVanZee's elaborate and interesting interpretation of this dream on an emotional level is certainly possible, it is not the only possible explanation. It could be as simple as that you maybe saw a picture of a butterfly or snake in waking life, and your mind's message to you may be as mundane as: I like pretty butterflies, but I am scared of snakes.

See I have a belief that you yourself must interpret your own dreams! After all it is your mind making the scene, characters, mood, and tone. I don't think anyone can tell you what your dream means, I believe that you must think deeply at what each sign and person might mean and why they are in your dream. There is no person in this world that can interpret your dream better than yourself! Think about it!

I largely agree, but another person can definitely help - we often have blind spots and can't realize what a certain symbol means until somebody else points out what's obvious to them. In the same way it can also be very helpful to look up the common meanings of dream symbols in a dream dictionary, but only to serve as a starting point for symbols that you're having a hard time interpreting. It's certainly no good to just not even try to interpret it yourself and rely completely on sombody else or a dictionary, but those are definitely helpful additions. Often other people see us more clearly than we see ourselves.

Also, when someone else does an interpretation of your dream, it's up to you to decide whether it's on target or not - it's just that person's idea of what it might have meant. But even if parts of it are wrong there may be some insight there that you wouldn't have come up with yourself.

Some dreams don't mean anything they are just random projections of the non concious or your subconcious they can
be also projections sort of like a placebo effect, means that a tense sentimental period of life can lead to weird random dreams.

      Or else

A new born butterfly indicates the birth of sexual surge as butterflies just suddenly bloom from the state of insect by their firsst sexual urge.
Now the snake in the non concious it is a symbol of sexuality as it is symbolises the base of the spinal cord the kundalini itself the jenitalia. The first change in kundalini comes through birth the second by masturbation and awakening of sexual urges the third by sexual intercourse. So ill take number two.
Also the fact that people in your family reacted like that, together with the colour of it,the butterfly before it and your reactions im guessing some sexual issues created by your personal mental restrictions and hidden fears.

Something that has been immitated shaped and approved by your family brings you
fears and conficts focused as thoughts which interfeers in your sexual life.

      Are you a virgin?

Oh it could also mean since snake it is a sign of wisdom and butterfly shares no strong purpose that the way that your family responds to you draws you back from realizing a shadowy part of you.but chances are in my first interpretation although i need a history of dreams to interpret good one.

Talking The BUTTERFLY and the OVERSIZED LARVA

Your English is pretty good - at least 80%

I think you were scared of your sunny transformation in life that astonished you or your family, or saw it as off and a threat.

Or maybe you were scared of a big astonishing change.

Or your family were astonished at your too-large transformation, and you were so put off by that and and to change again - into fear!

      I pick 3.

So I shared this dream and the first interpretation by ElizVanZe with my six year old son, and he said that he would prefer social caterpillar instead of social butterfly, and he further said "Maybe the snake was being nice? It did not hurt, right? I think it was nice because it was purple."
