      Snake bites dream

From what I can remember, my dad, my sister, and I went to some exhibit of animals in an apartment type building. There was a man who welcomed us and as I entered he gave me a black baby snake, around an inch in length. I was enjoying it as we were looking around when I did something that irritated the snake, and it bit my palm, near the thumb. I was able to pull it off, and as I was trying to hold its head, it bit me again, around the middle of my palm. I was now kinda panicking, eventually I pulled it off again, but my left pal got bitten. Once I have really removed it, I have kinda killed it already, and hid it under a sofa nearby, then with the floor carpet. I look at my hands and there was no blood. Only I knew what happened, so then I caught up with where my dad and sister were going to. After a while I learned that the baby snake was hughe when it grows and can be venomous, and some other info. Then as we were looking around I feel my hands becoming numb, so I went to the washroom and washed my hands. Then it started to bleed, not much, but there was blood (strangely, the washroom is my waking life room's bathroom). Eventually I ws able to control the bleeding. The next scenes were weird, I went to pee, washed my hair and dried my hair with a towel with the door unlocked and with my pants still down. Thankfully no one entered.

Snakes are a primal fear we inherited as a survival mechanism. Going to the exhibit is possibility, and the apartment is comfort, freedom, and responsibility. Perhaps you have gone through a sort of positive change in life that you are excited about, and are amazed with all the possibilities. The man welcoming you is a representative of how you feel, you feel you have reached a milestone in life. Giving you a black snake... positive black is possibilities, negative black is the unknown. The snake, besides being a fear, represents power, and its small size is the beginning of responsibility. You have been given an important responsibility in RL, perhaps. Enjoying it means you feel empowered, but the bite is the drawback to power. The location of the bite, near the thumb, means you are losing your hold on the task. Biting the other hand means your task is becoming more out of hand. No blood means the failure is more of an annoyance than something of great loss (blood can represent money, health, and family, so none of these is being affected). By killing the snake means you desire to end the responsibility, and burring it under the couch means you hope this problem will just "go away." You are fearing, or have achieved, a lack of responsibility in a minor task. By learning of the growth potential of the snake and its possible danger, this means that whatever task you are given it is best to remove it because as the responsibility grows it will be a great one, and dangerous to fail. (Bail early, basically) The numb hand is the consequence for ditching your responsibility, and the small blood is your loss. You may loss some money, health, or hurt family ties slightly. Washing your hands and controlling the bleeding means by acting fast you can advert any real damage in real life. Washing up means that basically, you'll "brush it off" so to speak, and your family seeing you do these things means the need for family support, perhaps (the last part, I'm not so sure).

Unfortunately, this is the best I can do with the limited info you gave us. It would help to know more about what you are experiencing in real life. This would make the interpretation more accurate.

well okay, basically I'm on my last term/semester in college, so I'm already doing thesis, I'm about to do practicum next month, and hopefully graduate by October. Physically, I'm healthy, no problems. Socially, well, it's good, but it could be better. Beyond me, though, well I'm kind of affected by two friends hating each other. It's a love thing. Emotionally, well I'm worried and anxious about the future. Being a graduating student, you know, it would be a big deal for me to leave school. Can't imagine what I'll be after I leave school. I'll also miss school. Anyway, I don't know what kind of experiences you want to know about, and this is all I can think of.

Ok, one thing to stress is that dreams do not tell us what to do in waking life, so this dream is not telling you to quit college! It may be telling you that you wish you could make your responsibilities go away, but only your waking mind gets to decide whether or not to actually do that, and I think finishing college is a very important and good idea. sometimes no matter how much we wish to kill and bury baby snakes in our dreams before they can grow into big and venomous ones, in real life we cannot just abandon responsibilities and wash our hands of them - that would not be responsible and we would regret that. Our dreams exaggerate fears and wishful thinking, and they may help us notice issues better, but they should not dictate our lives.
