      Dream interpretation?

I'm new to this forum in search of possibly some answers about these particular dreams iv'e been having for some time now.

My dog passed away in March, and for the first few weeks I had normal dreams about him almost every night. (Normal as in he was still alive as if nothing had happened). I still dream about him all the time, but now in most of my dreams I either realize or say say something out-loud that implies I realize that he was dead and now he's back. Last night though, in my dream, he was there again, but this time I found out he could only stay a few days..which I didn't find out until the last day.

Anyone have any insight? I know I miss my dog, that part is pretty obvious. Otherwise though, the vivid-ness of them is crazy, it's like I really just saw him.

It looks like the connection with your own instinctive feelings, reactions and emotions etc. was of course strongly tied to interacting with your beloved dog.

He would have stimulated love, fun and sometimes a little exasperation while being with him but now as the time has passed since his death, maybe there isn’t a strong enough equivalent stimulus to keep such emotions “alive”, so he now “comes and goes” in your dreams, possibly with the danger that he “won’t be back” if your emotions aren’t able to be stirred up as often like they were when your dog was there all the time.

If you mull over these ideas and they seem to fit with your actual situation, then the dreams should go back to him being around and “alive” in your dreams, especially if you take some appropriate actions to fill any potential missing gaps in this area of your life.

Anyway, without knowing anything much about you, this approach to the dreams about your dog might not fit your personal circumstances very well, but I hope that these ideas can be helpful in some way.
