Frequent dreams of seeing someone I haven't seen in ~10 years.

I've had a few dreams lately that featured someone I haven't seen in ~10 years. The odd part is that it started very recently within the last month, and each time I wake up, I'm left wondering where are they now.

So ~10 years ago I went to a daycare center as I was ~12 years old. For a while, there was a kid there named Isaiah, who was ~2-3 years old, who would sit on my lap in the mornings and watch TV. It became almost ritualistic. I got there before him, the TV was usually playing a movie, I sat down and waited for him. When he got there, he smiled at me and ran to my lap. Sometimes we tickled each other, we were kids, only I was ~10 years older than him.

Out of the blue one day I remembered him. I didn't wonder where he was, but I did wonder why we stopped hanging out together at daycare. Were we forced to sit apart? Did I do something wrong and I don't remember? Did he avoid me, or did I avoid him? Just a handful of questions. I shrugged them off. He probably doesn't remember me anyways.

I can't remember the other dreams off the top of my head, but I do remember he was in them, because I woke up wondering where he was and what he looked like now.

So the dream went like this:

I was on a school bus to my elementary school. We took a different way into the school to get off the bus, a back road, rather than the standard dropoff point. I first saw him by himself off the bus, and he saw me. I got off the bus and he comes to me and sits on my lap (and I'm in my early 20s, he would be ~12-13). I got a better look at him, or her. It was hard to figure it out. He had like a turquoise bob-style haircut, but it wasn't masculine or feminine, it was genderless. He also had a mix of masculine and feminine features, and assume he was genderless (but for readability, I'm going to refer to him as a he). He took me inside the gym and kinda led the way. He was running into friends in there, but all his friends were girls, and it was at this time that he acted more feminine than masculine, not homosexually feminine, more like he was a teenage girl. He didn't say much to me the rest of the dream. In fact he pretty much ignored me. He spent the time with the friends his age, and when I did try play with him, he told me to stop, and at that point I walked out of the gym.

The rest of the dream didn't involve him and didn't take place at the school, but I still woke up wondering what his life is like now, and what he looks like. Tried Facebook a few days ago, no luck, also, it would be pretty weird for a 20 something guy to be looking for a 12 year old boy whom he met ~10 years ago.

      Hi,

I'm willing to assist you with your dream. What i've learnt is that all dream scenes have lots of meaning for us, if only we are to recall information about the dream including location, lighting, objects, people/animals and thoughts/feelings. So, if you're interested in my take, then here's what I would like you to do...

I want you to first state all the different scenes in the dream. I see from your comments that there was more to the dream after the boy. What I'd like you to do is include this in your dream notes you'll prepare. Why? I've learnt that dreams with multiple scenes are related, despite the character appearing in only some of the scenes.

Then comes the work part. I'd like you to go back in your mind and play the role of an observer. For each scene, I'd like you to recall, to the best of your ability the following:

      Location:
I want you to look in your mind, as the observer, in the following directions and tell me what you see:
      1. To your left.
      2. To your right.
      3. In front of you.
      4. Behind you.
      5. Above you.
      6. Below you.

It’s all right if you can’t recall much. Simply tell me what you see and make sure I know what direction it is from you the dreamer. In my interpretation, you’ll see how this is a symbol itself.

When you are describing what you see, tell me in as much detail as you can recall about it. So things I am very interested in is what are walls, doors, windows, stairs, tables, etc. made of, age/style, colour, etc. The same goes for anything outside. You’ll see in my interpretations how all of this tells us lots about ourselves.

      Lighting:
      1. Tell me what the lighting was like, i.e. bright, dull, black, cloudy etc.
      2. Then tell me where the light was coming from.
      3. Can you tell the time of day or season?
Lighting is important in a dream because it’s a symbol of vibrational state. I’ll explain this during my interpretation for you.

      Objects:
If there are any objects in a dream scene, then tell me about them as follows:
      1. Shape, size, colour and what they were made of.
      2. Where the object is in the dream relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc.

I’ve found objects in dreams are usually symbols of things we first need to concentrate on spiritually. I’ll explain this in the interpretation if you had any objects in any of the scenes.

      People:
For each person in a dream scene I want you to do the following:
      1. Describe them to me in as much detail as you can recall. This includes age, gender, clothes, colour of the clothes, what the clothes were made of.
      2. Tell me where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, below, etc.
      3. Tell me if they were lying down, sitting, standing, walking, etc.
      4. Tell me what they did with you. Don’t skip the details. Simply tell me exactly what happened.
      5. If there are any conversations or thoughts between you and the person or others, then tell me EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID. This is important.
      6. If there were others you couldn’t see but felt, then let me know where you felt they were in a scene relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, etc.

      Animals. Etc.:
If there were any animals, insects, birds, reptiles, fish or whatever in any of the scenes, then tell me. Describe them in as great as detail as you can recall. Also let me know where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc. Then let me know of any thoughts that passed between you and them.

      Thoughts/Feelings:
This is a very important part of every dream scene. Take your time, go back and tell me the following for each scene:
      1. What was your first thought/feeling as the dream scene began.
      2. Tell me of any thoughts/feeling changes as the dream scene progressed and let me know where in the scene this occurred.
      3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the dream ended.

I realize this is a lot of effort on your part. However, I think you might be surprised at what you can learn from each scene. I also want you complement you in advance on your dream recall ability. You have a good sense of recall.

If you reply, I will happily give you an interpretation of your dream as if it was mine.

      With kind regards,
      Guy
