I transformed into the devil, what could it mean?

      Hello lovely people,

This is my first post. I have been searching all over the internet but I couldn't find anything similar to my experience so I hoped some of you could help me out here.

I will start out by telling a little bit about myself:
I am a 20-year-old girl living in the Netherlands. I am currently studying graphic design, live with my lovely parents and have one sister, we have a very good relationship. She's my best friend!

I had this dream months ago and I was 19 years old at the time. I usually forget about most of my dreams, but this one has been stuck with me as I have never had a dream like this before.

      About the dream:
The dream started out with me running in some sort of a hallway of a building. Someone was running after me, trying to kill me. By this time I had not seen the person yet and I also didn't know if he/she was holding a weapon, but I just knew I was about to die. While running I took a quick glance and the person happened to be a guy I have never seen before with a knife in his hand. I kept on running and eventually ended up in a room, it was a dead end. I turned around and the guy had now transformed into my sister, still with the knife in her hand. Just as she was about to stab me, I laughed. She gave me a confused look. I laughed so hard, almost tearing up, and said "You can't kill me. I know that this is just a dream". She was absolutely astonished! And then, I transformed into the devil, a red, horned, muscular devil. I looked up and ascended through the ceiling, into the sky, into space. Just as I was about to fly over to another planet, still as the devil, I woke up.

When running I was very scared, fearing for my life! As soon as I ended up in the room, turned around and saw my sister I didn't feel scared no more. I just kind of felt happy, even tho she was still holding the knife and about to stab me. I felt happy, euphoric even! When I transformed into the devil, it just felt right, like it had to happen, as if it was a part of me. It just all made sense.

Now, I'm just wondering why I transformed into the devil and why it felt so right. Also, I didn't feel like I was evil. And why did the guy transform into my sister, why was she trying to kill me? And lastly, I said I knew I was dreaming, but I didn't really know. I had no control or whatsoever.

I have been thinking a lot about what this dream could mean but I don't have a single clue!

Anyways, thank you for taking the time on reading my post and I hope you can help me out, even if it's just a little bit .

Well first of all, good job for describing some background, things you were feeling, etc. Was there anything you encountered at the time that was "devil-esque?" I know that for me, I will dream about things that I just saw in the past few days. I don't know you, so take everything I say lightly. You said you were running from a person who was trying to kill you right? That may be a reflection of something that happened in your life that was traumatic. Is/Was there a person in your life who hurt you deeply? When you turned into the devil and didn't feel evil, it might mean that you take the blame for doing something "wrong" but ultimately you didn't do anything wrong. Realizing the truth that it was a dream is exhilarating, and that is probably what gave you the boost to get out of being trapped. When we realize the truth, it is freeing. Ask yourself what is true about any of that and dig deeper within yourself. Do you have any questions about what I said? Let me know! I hope you can find out the true meaning of your dream.

Hmm transformed into a devil and then chose the nickname 'Mutilator'?

In any case, learn to become lucid then ask your subconscious: "why the devil?"

maybe the dreamscape will answer you from your inner self
Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

Thank you for your reply .

You said "When you turned into the devil and didn't feel evil, it might mean that you take the blame for doing something "wrong" but ultimately you didn't do anything wrong." and that really speaks to me. At the time I was very depressed and felt like I was worthless and took all the blame, eventhough I now know I haven't done anything wrong. From here, I think I can figure it out myself (or well, I'll try!). Thanks for helping me out!

Please ignore the name "mutilator", it's just a name I have always used and therefore easy to remember.

Anyways, I'm definitely gonna practice lucid dreaming and I hope I will find more answers soon. Thanks for the reply!

      Hi there, Mutilator,

      Let's see...

The dream started out with me running

((Dream opens by talking about something you are avoiding....))

in some sort of a hallway of a building.

((Dream says you are going through something... Some kind of a transitional phase for you.. A transition....))

Someone was running after me, trying to kill me.

((Something or someone is trying to force a change upon you....))

By this time I had not seen the person yet and I also didn't know if he/she was holding a weapon, but I just knew I was about to die.

((Dream says you don't know what's going on... "-hadn't seen-"..... But, you know this is going for change the way things are for you...))

While running I took a quick glance and the person happened to be a guy I have never seen before

((Something you are not aware of.... "never seen before".... You barely got a glimpse of what it's about.. "took a quick glance).))

with a knife in his hand.

((meant to sever.... "a knife"...... in someone else's control.... "in his hand"))

      I kept on running

      ((still avoiding.... keep on going....))

and eventually ended up in a room, it was a dead end.

((You've come to realize you are not able to go anywhere, here....))

I turned around and the guy had now transformed into my sister, still with the knife in her hand.

((**not sure how you feel about your sister; but, same idea in mind, here.... something meant to cut ties... an instrument to sever ties and enforce change....))

Just as she was about to stab me, I laughed.

((realized your strength.... turning the tables...))

She gave me a confused look. I laughed so hard, almost tearing up, and said "You can't kill me.

((something can't be done to you..... ))

I know that this is just a dream". She was absolutely astonished! And then, I transformed into the devil, a red, horned, muscular devil.

((Some changes in your personality..... "I transformed"..... The devil is often associated with mischief, evil intentions and deeds... However, the devil is also associated with devious cuteness..... Yet, it can also be said, that the devil is connected to being imprisoned to one's desires. Colors shows mood, emotion an energy, in dreams... and the color, red, shows a varied reflection in these things... red could be cautious or one with heated temperaments.....))

I looked up and ascended through the ceiling,

      ((over the top...))

      into the sky,

      ((here is the mind...))

      into space.

      ((astral travelling.... lucidity, perhaps...))

Just as I was about to fly over to another planet, still as the devil, I woke up.

      ((yes... astral travelling....))
