Thread: recurring ex-love dreams

You mean you dont love him anymore Conciously? I dont know how much help I can be but have you ever found yourself comparing your current BF to this other one?
I dont think a love that really took 6 years to get over would just disapear just because you've found another. Maybe one of the reasons you love this new man is because he fills that void?

Perhaps you should try and let go of this past love. I have had a similar experience. I used to really like this guy my freshman year in highschool. I had dreams of him ever since, although I didn't even know him and had long since gotten over my little infatuation. Try to have a LD, and set up your intent to tell him goodbye in your dream. Write your goal down on a piece of paper and put it under your pillow detailing exactly how you want the dream to be played out. This could really help you gain a sense of closure, and end the string of dreams. If it doesn't work the first time, just keep trying. If letting go of him is really important to you, this might help you to do this.

Like, Gwendolyn, I've had a similar experience with dreaming of a past love. It's been happening for about 8 years now (an insane amount of time, I know), but he just kept showing up. A few weeks ago, I had a kind of "breakthrough" dream where I told the guy that I was finally over him and I knew I wouldn't dream of him anymore. And I haven't. I wasn't even lucid in the dream, either.

By the way, Gwen, did you ever resolve yours?

Actually yes with your suggestions, Burns. Thanks. Those really helped. It felt so good to finally let go. I told him in my dream that I had no obligation to him or his memory. I am so glad that is over with. Now, my dreams can be filled with cooler, more meaningful things.

Thank you very much for your tips! the truth is we never had a proper closure, and there were still things that remaind unsaid, anyway i´ll try writting down my closure speech under my pillow until it works.

That is probably why you have been dreaming of this person. It is hard to let go of someone you have never said goodbye to....Anyway, I hope it works well for you.

oh wow.... i guess thats why i keep having dreams of that one girl, we went out for a while and then just stopped and there was no closure, and it was screwed up because then a little later she went out with one of my friends but we are still cool... haha to make matters worse shes gunna go out with my... 1 2... 4th cousin... so ya. next time i get lucid i will try that thingy.
