Hello, Pink Lady.

Read what I am going to say a couple times and then please think about it.

You suffered a tragedy in your life. Why these things happen is not given to us to know or understand, but they do. I am sorry for your loss and for the pain you continue to endure.

You must not allow this tragedy to define you or your choices in life. Learn from it, indeed - but know beyond a shadow of a doubt you had NOTHING to do with the young man's death.

None of us humans knows the future. We do not know how much time any of us or anybody else has here. Time is our most precious treasure. It is a treasure we are not allowed to save. We can waste it, spend it, worry it away or let it pass us by in fear and uncertainty. We can also treasure every moment we have and share ourselves with other sojourners in this amazing experience we call life. Either way, the time is gone and you can't get it back.

Embrace life. Set your fear behind you. You can do it. Nobody can promise you won't experience other tragedies in your life, but they are not common. That's one of the things that makes all of this so precious and valuable. We have NOW to live, and that's all.

The dreams will sort themselves out. I frequently enjoy the company of lost loved ones in my dreams, and am frequently puzzled as to their meaning - but the dreams always seem to bring me comfort. They are but dreams though. They do not guide us, though they can give us insights into ourselves at times. Life is lived awake.

Life is a miraculous and wonderful gift. The question always is what YOU are going to do with it?

pink_lady00, I too am sorry to hear of your loss. Letting opportunities slip by us is something that can haunt and bother us if we let it. I know this all too well. But, as pj said, you can't let the past determine your future.

Pj, wow. That actually brought tears to my eyes because I see myself in what you said. I regret everyday the chances I allow to pass me by and I want the courage to not allow that to keep happening to me. Yet, with each new day, that's exactly what I do.

well a cursh is someone that you cannot ...get to. They are always a little inaccessible. Maybe thats what the dream means. that you felt particularly frustrated that day

In real life we constantly make little decisions. We make judgments about how people react and how they perform. We assess how well we have done and if we can make little alterations. Life is full of such decisions. But in real life we need to make decisions quickly. Should I trust my son to walk to school on his own? Should I start jogging again so soon after my foot was injured? Should I side with my friend at work even though I know she was lying? In real life we need to make yes or no choices. Yet the truth is that in many cases we wish to say maybe! Much of the time we lack the necessary evidence or information to make a proper informed choice. Judging peoples characters and reactions is an ongoing process. Peoples behavior changes and we can spot these imperceptible changes. In many ways dreams concentrate on things which are different or changing in your life. Perhaps they dwell on a moment when your distrust of someone turned to trust. When your patience with someone turned to impatience. Dreams mark these little turning points. They mark the moment when the balance of the scales shifted from yes to no.
