Morning Dream Recall vs. Periodical Dream Recall

NO COMPARISON! Last night I did my first periodical recall where I set my alarm for 4.5, 6, and 7.5 hours into my sleep and woke up to write my notes down at those periods. It was AMAZING how much better my recall was and the vividness and extent of the dream, one felt like I had been in the dream world for several hours and only had a couple time warps. It was amazing how much richer the plot of the dream was, even though it was so bizzare anyway, it seemed much less bizzare than the dream you only remember 50% of.

on another not, Ive only had one LD and I'm on about 15 or 16 days. The LD was triggered by me just noticing something strange and not a reality check. Even though I practice reality checks daily I never seem to do them in my dreams... any advice? I feel like im practicing them for nothing, all the weird shit is always rationalized (like last nights bag of drugs that i'm sure was just chives. I even thought "man these look just like chives! ......I wonder what kind of drugs these are...?"

One of the greatest helps for me has been repeating "I will remember my dreams" while I lay in bed. You have to really mean it and dont let your mind wander, as you feel your mind wander make sure you keep repeating it and also add "i am going to dream, I will remember my dreams" it really helps!
