Question A new age in dream journaling?

Please note I haven't used this and am not endorsing this product. I simply think this is a great idea.

Ok for the past couple weeks at my college I've been seeing people with headphones attached to pens and paper with buttons drawn on it. Of course this led to a quick google search. The device is made by livescribe. What it is, is a pen that records audio from lectures and associates them with your notes from class. You can actually tap the key points in your notes and hear the audio. Then you can upload the files to your computer. It's creates a flash file that makes the text a button you can click and hear the audio. They even make the special paper in journal form.

So how could you use this? You could write key points from your dreams while speaking the dream. Then you have files on your computer that you can back up on an external hard drive as well as your actual journal.

Has anyone here used one of these for school or maybe even for journaling?

That is interesting indeed. I have never saw or heard of these before. Sounds like a lot of work though. With the lectures, you are trying to remember the key points for upcoming tests ect. With the dreams, you actually experienced them and wouldn't really need to hear it after you have wrote it down somewhere. I guess unless you wanted to keep a audio record of all your dreams, which would be pretty cool.

I don't know if that would help me much, since I don't like the idea of talking and writing at the same time. Perhaps this pen might be a good idea, though.

Also found this one. I think I might get one. It'd be nice not having to reach over and turn on the lamp.

Different strokes for different folks. I tried the whole audio recording lecture thing in college before, and realized it doesn't effectively help me. Some people I know loved recording lectures and it helped them remember EVERYTHING for future studies. I tried applying the same to DJs and writing in a notebook is just my style.

Even typing notes is something I don't find effective. Hahaha, I'm nitpicky like that.

But whatever helps a person improve gets a vote in my book!

I just need one of those programs that recognizes my voice and converts it into words on the computer
