      Problematic dream recall help need

Hello everybody i have been trying to lucid dream for about 2 weeks now since i found out about the whole concept.I started out a dream journal and so far on day one i wrote down a dream. After that dream i had nothing i could recall for two days.Next 3-4 i mainly could recall fragments of my dreams.I then tried to wake up after 4,5 hours of sleep and write down dreams and go back to sleep and then again waking up after 90 minutes of sleep to write more of my dreams.I ended up with 3 different fragments of 3 different dreams that night.Next night i couldnt remember anything but couple of hours after waking up i saw something in waking life that reminded of a dream i had that night so i was lucky and wrote it down. Now today i woke up 2-3 times during my sleep after 4,5 hours and after that after 90 minutes and i have nothing for my journal this day.My dream control isnt increasing after 2 weeks of trying to lucid dream. It ia just so inconcistent.I am doing wrong?

i may have 1 or two things.
1: what time are you going to sleep/waking up?
if you want to remember your dreams you have to have mostly concistant sleeping pattern. ie. go to sleep at 11:00 and wake up at 8:30.
2: have you been using a mantra?
you could try using a mantra. this en-tales repeating a phrase such as "i will remember my dreams" as you fall to sleep. you will have to experiment to find the right one for you.
3: have you been practicing mindfulness?
if you want to remember your dreams you have to be more mindful. what i mean by this is be more aware of everything happening around you during the day. your waking awareness directly corrolates to your dream awareness, and you need awareness to remember everything.

i am sorry if i didn't explain anything very well, but i am currently having my lunch. here are some resources that may help you:

hello my friend i am going to answer your questions 1 by 1.
1)i sleep at 3:00 oclock in the morning and wake up at 11-12 oclock right now because i dont have any classes right now so i can go to bed early.I think i am getting enough sleep though.
2)Yesterday when i went to bed i used the mantra. ''I am going to remember me dreams every time i wake up''.Used it for like 5-10 minutes.I then went to sleep like i normally do.So today i woke up 4,5 hours after going to bed and then 90 minutes after that trying to remember dreams and i could recall any of them.Woke up like 3 times with no memory of dreams and my dream journal says ''Cant remember anything today''.
3)I have recently started paying more attention to my souroundings (have read kingyoshi's thread about ADA).What i do is ask myself throughout the day ''Am i dreaming?'' After the question i take a look at my suroundings to check if everything is how it is supposed to be.I use my senses to feel the things around me.After that i ask myself. ''Where am i''? ''How much time have i been here?'' ''Why am i here?'' ''Where was i before i come here''.I answer those questions and then perform my reality checks.First i examine my hands.Second RC i do is to try to push my fingers through my pals and after this RC i plug my nose to check if i can breathe.I conclude that i am not dreaming. And after that i say ''Next time i am dreaming i am gonna look at my hands and realize that i am dreaming'' sort of a mantra thing i guess?

My sleep schedule isn't perfect but it's generally within a couple hours. My advice would be find a time that works for you and try to generally stick within it. I'm a student as well so I know what it's like lol.

Practice being aware of your sleep cycles so you can write your dreams down during the night. I usually get the last cycle or two written.

Also lay still when you wake up. You should at the very least have a feeling about the dream. Just ask yourself questions? What do I feel this way. What caused it and build the dream backwards from there.
