Near death experiences in dream bring lucidity

So I have found that whenever I am about to die in a dream that I get momentary low level lucidity that allows me to survive, but immediately afterwards I lose it and continue to dream. Does anyone have any suggestions for maintaining this lucidity? Also does anyone know how to regularly induce nightmares?

Well that's odd. For me at least. When i experience death or near death i wake up.

I can remember a dream where I was standing on a tall building's roof that broke down, causing me to fall off it. I also recall falling down for few seconds and then woke up.

Perhaps you can use the momentary lucidity as a reality check that will help you trigger the dream to become fully lucid

Btw why would you want to have nightmares regularly?

i want nightmares so i have to face death. I get lucid 100% of the time when i face death. I have never died in a dream even when I was little. I always get lucid and save myself.

My issue is staying lucid. I always lose it once the danger goes away.

Well, my advice to you is to use the lucid induction techniques on this forum and when you achieve lucidity you'll be able to face your death. Good luck with that btw

I just made a thread about this.

Last night, there was a Terminator type machine in my house. I shot at it, and my gun jammed. It heard me and walked towards me. I got the gun unjammed, and fired the whole clip into it, but nothing happened. I pleaded with it to just shoot me in the head, but then I realized it only had a hammer. I was sprawled on the floor in a corner (it had thrown me) amidst a pile of rubbish, and in extreme horror. Through some thought process I don't understand anymore, I had realized I was dreaming and had a physical struggle to open my eyes. Luckily it never had to hit me with the hammer. I feel pain in dreams...

      Same.

My father use to tell me stories about people who get tortured in their dreams, so for the most part I don't complain /:
