      Everybody have such cute pets!

Here's my dog in her kennel. She's a smallish dog, but I bought her a huge house and she loves it.
I spoil her alot since she was missing for 7 years. Gotta make up for the time she was away.

This is Sun-sun and Cookie (sun conure sisters) a few months old. I raised them since they were tiny babies so I grew very fond of them. Unfortunately my dad sold them off. I hope they found nice, loving homes.

Here's a pick of Sun-Sun and Cookie as babies. They were just feed (as you can see from the yellow bulge at their chest.)

Ah, parrots and parakeets are noisy. But it's nice to listen to them.
Here's a better pic of my dog (Milkshake).

      She is very cute!
She's part border collie hence her fur length and colour, and irish terrier which gives her wavy fur. (:
She's probably a mix with something else too because of her size. I dunno what though.

I had a stick insect once, and there is a very touching and emotional story behind it, but I can't be bothered to make it dramatic.
      So:
      -I got stick insect
-I got a bigger terrarium for the stick insect because it was outgrowing the little plastic container it lived in
      -Stick insect was laying eggs
-Stick insect got trapped under a stick one night and I found it barely moving
-Instead of trashing it, I manned up and hand fed it leaves and plant juice to nurse it back to health
      -Stick insect got better
      -Babies happened
-Stick insect started losing legs and got the same problem as last time
      -Babies started dying
-Everything died for no apparent reason, except they only did so in the terrarium.
I could probably write an excellent ironically-dramatic creepypasta about a haunted terrarium, but it's more probable that the previous owner used pesticides, or that the bugs kept falling off the glass on their noggins. Besides, I don't have time for that!

I odly feel very tempted to read such a story!

Anyway, my dog(he's(or she's) mentioned above.
I am starting to hate that dog. He is dominant, aggressive(surprise surprise, he's barking at my brother at this very instant), and bittes and barks a lot. But the dog is not mine, but my mother's, and she won't train him

I've grown up with dogs, my mom bred and trained Doberman's. We had 6 adults while I was a teenager, and everyone of them was a part of the family. Now I have a Flat Coated Retriever, who is my absolute best friend. After my divorce having him there to great me was the greatest, he's got a very unique personality. It's hilarious when I grab his leash for a walk or car ride he starts almost crying because he's so excited, jumping up trying to grab the leash. When I hook him up he grabs part of the leash with his mouth and starts leading me our the door.. Pretty much every time i'm upset about something he jumps up on the couch or bed and it's like he's trying to comfort me by laying with me and putting his head on my leg or chest, and just looks at me..

A few pics of my buddy. His name is Sarge, got him right around when I got promoted to SGT in the US Army so the name just made sense. Everyone that has met him comments on how happy he is, just one of those dogs that's always excited about things, especially new things, and new people. We live in Michigan so every year when the first snow fall hits, it's like he's in heaven, he just lowers his head into the snow and runs until he falls, then rolls around. Every time I let him in he's covered in snow....

      1.jpg2.jpg4.jpg12.jpg

I also have one of the best dog stories, or so people tell me, about when I broke my leg. When I was 16 I broke my leg badly racing motocross, I was laid out on the lazy-boy for a few days. During those three days, there were always 3 Doberman's laying in a half-circle around the chair, it was in a corner so they would cover from wall to wall. When my mom would call them to go outside or to eat, they'd look at each other then only two of them would leave. One would come back quickly and then the other would leave to go and eat or go outside, they were making sure at least one of them was there at all times. When friends came over to see how I was doing the Dobe's wouldn't let them get within about 10 feet of me...even people they'd know since they were puppies. When I'd have to get up to use the bathroom one of them would follow me and sit outside the door. It was an eye opening experience, Doberman's get a bad rep but they are by far in the top 3 for best family dogs(as long as they're purebred and you know their line is good), the ones you hear about hurting people are generally because of problems with their blood line or the owners wanted them violent. One of our adults we had since she was born, and a buddy of mine was there when she was born, and was around 60% of the time. He picked up my little brother(about 12 at the time), and started spinning him around. My bro yelled a little, in a fun way, and this Dobe came running from the other side of the house and stopped about 2 feet from my buddy and growled. She stayed like that until he put my brother down, she then came over, licked my bro in the face, looked up at my friend and turned around and walked away. They are extremely protective of their family, and I think that protection sometimes leads to incidents that give them bad reps.
There's no such thing as a saint without a past, or a sinner without a future....

In lieu of traditional pets, I like to take care of "wild" squirrels. There are two in particular that know me, and that I recognize. Having fed them by hand for 3 years, they are noticeably larger than the others. Also, they have their own distinguishing characteristics.

They literally knock on the door at lunch time if I'm not out there to feed them. They will run up at the glass door, jump, and bang it with their paws to make noise, then look in the window to see if I'm coming or not.

She's my favorite. She usually sits right next to me as she eats. I watch out for predators to keep her safe at lunch time. Not that I have to, but it seems to make her comfortable.

I've never tried to pet them, mostly out of respect for their personal space and their own sensibilities. I figure, feeding them by hand is probably enough for now. She did put her tail in my hand one time. They are ridiculously soft in case you've never touched one before.

Then there's this guy: He's a bully. Chases away the others, and doesn't get along with my other squirrel friend. I think he only likes me because I feed him haha. He was the first one I got to take food from my hand.

It just makes me feel good inside to care for these little ones. The average lifespan of a squirrel is about 3 years due to deaths by traffic and predators. I try to keep them off the streets

I and my sister have two gerbils. Their names are Hilma and Viksu, but they have lots of nicknames! Hilma is black with black eyes, but she has a lit bit of white under her chin. Viksu is dove (gray) with red eyes. They are really small and don't like getting picked up. That is because they had many siblings and ad to go through a lot of stress when one of the breeder's gerbils got sick and everyone else had to get medicine too, just in case. Hilma lost one of her legs during birth, too (she can still live normally, tho). So especially she is very special. The breeder almost didn't let us buy them as first pets, but I'm happy she still did!

One time while letting them run on the floor and explore the room, Hilma escaped twice! Now that I think about it, it was actually epic, because at first she got afraid and turned back. I guess her curiousity got over the second time, because then we had to actually catch her.

I have one tricoloured shetland sheepdog and his name is Alex.
      Alex valp.jpg
(A picture of him when he was a puppy!)

He is very afraid of... basically everything but is such a kind dog. He loves to be pet at any time and usually demands to be pet by everone who is home everytime he has been out for a walk.
And he loves to sit on your lap while petting him!
      The veterinary believes he got gastritis so he needs to eat small portions often, daily. But he is still my doggo and I really love him. ;__;

As soon as dad walks near the kitchen you can hear Alex running from the other side of the house because he LOVES food and knows that my dad usually shares with him.
