I saw the title of your post in the side panel yesterday. I had a dream looking at a skydiving plane, with a dude hanging out the door. Then he let go. And I'm thinking "yeah, well he said, he is doing lots of skydiving". I watched him fall, then his parachute opened.
This morning I looked at your pictures and haha, you are doing different kind of skydiving. : D
@Oneironaut Zero Awesome! Do you feel you were inspired to do pursue free diving due to your lucid dreaming experiences, or free diving came first? I feel my sinuses when I go to the bottom of a swimming pool, I can't imagine going deeper but wish I could. Maybe it would be different with scuba gear on, haven't tried. Beautiful shots!
Nice, Gab! :D Glad that I seem to be the inspiration for that dream! And yeah, it's definitely it's own form of skydiving. I love the way the clear water in some of the pics makes it look like people are flying. :)
Thanks, fogelbise!
Lucid dreaming definitely came first. I've been doing that sense I was a kid, but I've always had a bit of a fear of deep/dark water and wide open seas. I would have nightmares related to that kind of thing often. I actually think that a desire to kind of get over those fears helped motivate me to get into freediving, which I've only been doing for a few months now. The place where I dive is called Blue Spring, and it's a very famous tourist spot for diving, so it's nice that I have it so close to my house and have been able to learn there!
