      Shared dreaming?

I know this is going to sound crazy, but is there such thing as a sort of shared dreaming. Like, can you enter a dream with another person and both interact in the dream and both remember dreaming together when you wake up?? Sounds kind of absurd but I'm curious if there is actually a way to do it.

I think it's impossible and false. A group of people believe it's real and claimed to have done it on multiple occasions. I think you should try it out with someone if possible. I don't think it will work personally but doesn't hurt to try. Can't be proven/disproven

The burden of proof is on the believers but at this time just try it out.

Ok, I'll have to do some more research about it and find some people who wouldn't mind experiencing with it. I just read a very long debate on it and both arguments seem to have no proof of anything so it seems like more of a try it for yourself thing, I'll give it a shot.

This is like the 100000000000th thread asking this . Go to Beyond Dreaming to discuss this stuff and read topics on it. I'm sure there are a ton. But I wouldn't know, I never ever EVER EVER enter there. The darn place is so unusual...

There are so many successful experiments and failed experiments that this thing is harder to verify than the existence of God himself.

Yea, I don't think I'm really going to explore further into this until I am at least a nightly lucid dreamer.

      That's hard to verify?

I agree with objective. The existence of god is just as hard to verify as the existence of shared dreaming because there is no actual proof of either. By sayin "god exists I've talked to him, the bible also says he does." doesn't prove he/she actually exists just as saying "shared dreaming exists I've done it" also does not prove it's existence. My opinion is that you really need to explore those paths for yourself and prove to yourself that certain things exist or don't exist because somethings you can't just go by someones word for it,

The default for anything when it comes to existence is "doesn't exist" because it has to be proven. If something is proven to exist by either using your senses or science (or something >_>) [EDIT: Or just plain common sense] then it exists.

Then by all means I shouldn't believe in it.

Not necessarily, you can believe in it. I just would suggest experimenting with it before you whole heartily believe in it. That way you have first hand proof of it rather then believing or not believing based on what someone else says.

The default form of existence is non-existence.

At least you can actually try and see if shared dreaming is real. You can't even test it for yourself with god. 100% faith. Getting out of hand though haha. Beyond Dreaming is a better area or extended discussion.

I didn't believe it till I got into the "Beyond Dreaming" section here. For myself at least, I believe it to be completely possible, as I believe I've experienced it myself deliberately many times since then.

I highly suggest you to head to that section.

Alright blake, I have checked out that section but just skimmed through, I think I am going to practice LDing for a little longer before I get into the more complex stuff. Thank you for the advice though.

No problem. Also check out Deep Dreaming (inside Beyond Dreaming) when you're ready to delve in further.

      Best of luck.
