My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

You know I have to admit, and it might sound silly but, this show has given me a slightly better outlook on my life. Plus it tends to calm me down when I'm upset or angry. The second I started posting ponies in this thread (and playing PSO, but that's a given xD ) I began feeling better about the week I've had and the client I had to deal with this morning.

Oh defiantly about the friends aspect! To bad we can't get together and have a MLP party or something of the like. That would be so much fun to sit around and eat baked goods and watch MLP all night. I could even be coaxed to dye my hair and dress up as one of the ponies. xD And I have some recipes for pony inspired drinks that I have yet to try.

That's great Blackberry, it really is, but my post was kind of directed at Marvo, Raspberry, Maeni, etc. I mean, there's you... and then there's them. I'm sure you understand. But, if it means that much to you, I'll add you as well. I guess.

And on a serious note, I kinda agree with the others, there's a lot of the stuff that are really predictable. Sometimes it kind of makes me cringe, like when Dash is fleeing from Pinkie and hides behind a barn going "Phew!", everyone knows what's going to happen and that's just... Derp.

But it really has this very hypnotizing charm :3

As for those predictable parts that make you cringe, I kinda like those. The cheesiness of it all is, well, cute. xD Kind of like when a kid tells you a you a lame joke.

I probably should have figured, but I'm a little dense to be honest. ^^; I have trouble reading between the lines so you have to be blunt with me.

And that's exactly right.

Besides as much as we enjoy it we can't forget it was meant for little kids so some things are going to be a bit obvious. As was said it makes it charming for me.

Plus there are plenty of not so obvious moments to. Like in the episode with Gilda where you think Pinkie Pie set up all the pranks when it turns out to be Dash. Maybe that was me being thick again, but I didn't see that outcome.

Is it weird that MLP: FiM is the main reason I've been visiting Dream Views lately? Turns out ponies are more interesting than lucid dreams. .-.

EDIT: Just watched episode 9. For a show meant for kids, that was some heavy learnin'. A few other shows have tried to encourage their viewers to consider racial and cultural divides but they usually come off as overly cookie-cutter preachy and unrealistic (in the way the issues and solutions are presented). MLP: FiM on the other hand, did a well enough job of getting the message/lesson across without making those mistakes, imo.

So bronies I've had a wonderful day. I don't know about the rest of you, but here it's a nice warm 80 degrees with a nice cooling wind so it's comfortable without being to hot or chill. Got to sleep in before going to work in the afternoon, took my puppy Bella to the dog park and for a walk, and then went to Wal-mart and got bird feeders and some plants for my apartments patio. I'm trying to grow a blackberry bush. We'll see how well it goes. Makes me a very, very happy pony that it does.

My sister caught me watching this (all caught up on episodes=D) and she didn't even say a word. Instead, she gave me this look that was similar to the one I got when she caught me watching porn. Not a word, just walked away. xD
