The Lucid For Life Podcast

While you wait for the next episode of The Dreamviews Podcast, come check out what Wurlman and I have been working on. We're putting on a monthly lucid dreaming podcast that's a little different then DV. We're not as awesome as OpheliaBlue and crew, but I think you'll enjoy the conversation. By the way, we are a little unfiltered so there is some adult humor and language. You have been warned.

Also, if we mention a DV member, it was all in good fun. We love you all.

Episode 1:
In our first episode we pondered what dream characters are, talked about a few ways to handle lucid nightmares, discussed waking/dream realities, dream experiences, and more.

We originally wanted this to be something other than a teaching podcast, but we felt like we should have kept everyone in mind. So, our second episode will be about getting back to basics. We'll discuss bacis technques and what works for us.Then, our third podcast we'll discuss OBEs

Good to see initiatives like this popping into existence. I'm a bit behind on my podcast list, but I'll add this to hear when I get some free time.

Thanks for posting, and good luck on future episodes! A suggestion I would make is that you could talk about some books (if you two are into that kind of material) and discuss the main ideas/perspectives regarding lucid dreaming presented by the author: I personally love book reviews and there's a lot of them regarding lucid dreaming that haven't been made known to the general public.

Thanks Zoth. I hope youll enjoy. Thats a good suggestion. We have several books we could talk about and the thought has crossed my mind. Wurlman sort of did this in the episode but we didnt really cover the actual book; more like an idea or element from it.

Thanks. Wurlman is a funny dude. You never know what he'll say. He was a little worried that he sounded like a BD but I thought he did great.Btw there's loads of copyright free music out there. Its really easy to find. I think the site we used was Free Production Music for Videos and Movies | Free Stock Music

It's been way too long since we put one out. Wurlman has been working crazy 70 hour weeks on night shift on top of both of us having computer issues so it's been a challenge. Luckily, he was able to give up an hour of his very limited personal time. I hope you guys enjoy and get something out of it. We have a lot of fun doing this.

Episode three was the best so far, IMHO, and I think the sound quality was very good (as I remember the earlier ones were not quite at that level sound-wise). Also the topics were good (especially the herbs/supplements part).

I really appreciate this grassroots effort you're bringing, and the show is definitely worthwhile listening to. Please keep going!

Only grumble: maybe 5-10% spent on extended silences could be edited out, leaving a smoother flow ...

I have a suggestion for a future topic: summoning. Summoning may prove quite a formidable challenge, even to those of us who have quite a few lucids under the belt.

Thanks so much for the comments and feedback! Episode 3 was put out fairly quickly with minimal editing since we were both so busy. I agree there were some parts that really needed fixed. I promise episode 4 will be better.

And yes, we both purchased new equipment so thats why the sound quality was better thanks for noticing.

I like your suggestion for summoning. I have few ideas on that off the top of my head that gets me a little excited about it. We may work on that one for 5 but right now we're planning on discussing the void and ada for episode 4.

LOL @ Wurlman 4 episodes into the podcast pronouncing it "Ex-Ay-Noose!" I can verify that you've been killing it with caffeine since way back in the day. I hadn't heard about the chocolate-covered espresso beans, yet. Did we talk about this? How many of these bad boys are you popping in a single WBTB? (You may have said the dosage but I didn't catch it.)

The "awareness" material was timely for me. I have long since acknowledged that "all day" awareness just isn't possible for me, and it's sometimes caused me to pull away from awareness work in general. I know I need to get back into this but it helps to have that push.

Man, I was sure you would talk about some of our old-school experiences with the void back in the day! The glory days of the gladius trick!

I think I was just eating a hand full of beans. I think it was around 15? Id have to go back and look. I need to buy some more of those. It worked great!

Yeah the awareness stuff... I just keep it sporadic though Im sad to admit I've been really lazy with that lately.

I tey not to get into telling dreams so much because I feel it gets boring but I think we did mention that void stuff in an earlier episode as well.

Just wanted to stop by and say your podcast is really good, I learn and laught a lot listening to it.
All are so good, but that last one on dryspells is a must-listen as it touches on so many important factors for lucid dreaming in general.
